Crocodile is easily the most capable villain in the series. You explained it perfectly but Croc was like a hundred steps ahead of the protagonists more so than anyone else ever has. While the strawhats and law had doffy in a fit of rage before even arriving on his island, none of the protagonists ever had the upper hand over Croc for even just a moment.

Erm ackshually, Crocodile was the one drying out Alabasta, thats why it rained as soon as luffy beat him and it stopped the fighting. He was using dance powder to frame Cobra as an explanation for why its not raining

Tbh even after losing Luffy would have lost if it werent for Robin thanks to the poison, like Crocodile almost killed Luffy 3 times and just won thanks to plot, he was still stronger than Luffy in MF and im sure that now he is more stronger than a YC1. Also he was the most efective and treatening villain in the series neither Doflamingo or Kaido were close to him

tbh crocodile from some reason has always been in my top 5 favourite characters in the series just from how cool he is, like in marineford and especially now with cross guild and also that one cover art where he held an umbrella for a lil smol doggo made crocodile go from an above average villan become a really fun and interesting character to me. He’s badass, he’s got drip, he’s got a dope voice actor, he has a grand dream like Luffy and Moria and he doesn’t give 2 fucks, bro stands on buisness . Although I still like Aokiji, Katakuri and Corazon more though but he’s definitely a solid 8.5/10 character for me. alongside with Aokiji and Mihawk, he’s someone I’m interested the most in seeing show up in the story

Great vid! Also would like to add that Crocodile is the only character whose real name we don't know (aside from Imu?) if I'm not wrong. Unless Crocodile is his ACTUAL name which sounds ridiculous. Maybe this is the secret Ivankov knows? His backstory? Is he also a D? We know he went on an adventure for a long time before he joined the revolutionaries so I'm guessing that's when he met him.
