Bonus point : If you want to write a good and brief précis, learn one word substitutions. They minimize the number of words. For example: "My uncle has got good experience in politics". You can also write it as my uncle is veteran in politics. You can learn them from the book "brush up your English". You can also refer this book for more interesting things

• Add 2 inches of space in the starting. • Do no Add your personal comment • Reconstruct the precis in your own words • Usage of contractions is not allowed e.g. didn't coudn't (write full insted) • if you want to do rough work go to last page and do it ( NEVER MAKE IT ON NEAT SIDE) • Usage of (1st person and second person pronnouns) personal nouns proouns are not allowed. e.g. I, we, you, he. • In which tense precis should be written? You should write your precis in given tense. • Another thing if your passage(Precis) is first in Present then it turns into past at the end of the sentences, you have to follow the same pattern of tenses, at the begining you should write in present then you have to find out from which sentence it turns into past or future then you have to write your precis in that tense. • you have to count the numbers of your precis devide into 1/3 • remove these things from your precis (stories, examples, numbers, poems, "i, we, you, the", remarks, Direct speech, you have to remove all these points and write that.
