@@benj213 this comment makes me sad bc its an all too familiar way of dealing with issues that are uncomfortable. Racism is an important topic that shouldn't be swept under the rug. If ur tired of hearing about it then be part of the solution to end it. Js I've only recently really started to reflect on all the times my whiteness has worked for me whether intentional or not.lets day its made me realize systematic racism is a huge problem that millions of people don't have the luxury of just turning it off. Sorry not attacking but this is triggering for me as my mom is the worst about this. If she doesn't know about it then it's all good and right with the world.

Great video. Piece of advice for later. We hear people say things like, "Black boys are 18 times more likely to be tried as an adult than white boys for the exact same crime." We hear things spoken of in a multiplicative way so often, it's kind of lost its impact. If you phrase it as, "For every one white boy tried as an adult, 18 black boys are tried as adults for the exact same crime" it has a much bigger impact or even, "For every 19 boys tried as adult, 18 are black and one is white."

Not quite. You're falling for baseline fallacy. 18 times more likely =/= for every 1 x there are 18 y. Lets say that tall people are 18 times more likely to drive a honda than average sized people. There are 10 average sized people for every tall person. That would mean for every 28 people who drive hondas 18 would be tall and 10 would be average sized.

My mind was on Erica Pratt earlier this year & I looked her up. Given her age at the time of her abduction & her escape, this child should've been hailed as a national hero; we should still be talking about her. The media spent maybe 24hrs covering her story & moved on. I don't even think the public was ever informed about the specifics of her capture, her captors/their consequences, & her life since the ordeal. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Smart had a book deal, countless interviews, hosted her own TV show, a TV movie about her life, etc. The media's bias is real.

Charismatic person - amazing how we use ideology to actually dominate he who has the gold and thinks he makes the rules… look at history… pretty sure he who exploits ability to convince ppl of things sets the standard… ppl are racist and sexist cause ideology and someone brainwashed them… not paid them.. FYI money is just a visible means to and end.. and ideology is behind and the reason why some ppl only care about money… cash alone does nothing… ideology is EVERYTHING… a charismatic person can and will control rich and poor alike… ppl companies orgs etc rich and poor.. often more then not become addicted to the ideology of said charismatic ppl… why u think y and think religion has a bad name… cause it’s cancer to humanity and natural human nature… it’s designed to control populations… money is just one of many tools it uses… American racist is directly linked to the Bible… Christians use “mark of Cain” to proof blacks are MARKED with BLACK SKIN… thus Christians used thrift money and taxes to further punish a “cursed ppl” money ain’t shit… it’s ideology… also “golden rule” in ur context is intentionally being taken out of context and refitted to mean something it in no ways fits… butt that’s with anything.. I can take any phrases and make it mean anything I want lol

That’s his point, WHY are black children being “aged up” when their white counterparts are not? The objective of the stand up in addition to being funny, is to get folks to think critically about why society continues treat/think of blacks differently. Not to mention the fact we perpetuate this “age up” foolishness within our own communities.
