Your comprehensive and conversational breakdown of Deion's gave me a much better understanding of all he has faced in surgery recently. As a Multi-Time World Champion San Francisco Forty-Niner fan, I can only express how much I appreciated his years and years of playing with the organization. When asked in a room of 600 people how he would compare the 49ers with other organizations he had played for, Deion responded, "I don't remember playing for any other teams, does anybody else? They must have been real f-ing losers!"

I sold HiVolt pulsed galvanic stimulators, and when I broke my hand, used it myself. A doctor I went to months later had never even heard of it. He was old and my bone had healed in half the time but I used it about 10 times more than I was supposed to. I had the equipment and supplies in inventory. I had a friend use his foot to reset it. My hand was on the floor to reset the broken bone. The bone was almost coming out of the skin like a broken stick. I figured five seconds saved me $5000 deductible. I can't describe the pain that went through my body setting a broken bone with no pain anesthesia. I actually saw floating objects. Puked my guts out and staggered around. But I did save $5000. It reset it about 4/5 so it still has a big bump and my right knuckle is still indented. It amazes me hiVolt post galvanic stimulator's are not used on everything where you need swelling out and blood flow in including pitchers elbows in between innings. But there is no money in it.

Great information Dr. Webb, But in your humble opinion should the medical professionals who performed the initial procedure on the Legend Deon Sanders ask him if his family has a medical history of blood clotting before surgery vs after when they had to amputate his toes. Deon could have got his family medical history from his mother in regards to blood clotting before hand. Also I saw a foot device that assists turf toe or hammer toes that a person can wear as a alternative to surgery. Your thoughts Doctor.

Fasciotomy- excision of the fascia. In this particular case, it is done to release the tension of the fascia and release the pressure surrounding the excision. Once released, scar tissue can also be released as well if present. We tend to do this procedure in situations like this where the fascia is incarcerating muscle and blood vessels. I've been called in for fasciotomies of drug users who developed compartment syndrome because they injected somewhere they shouldn't have and we release the fascia to avoid necrosis of the limb (death of the arm/leg). The femoral artery is very important and a bleed of this artery can lead to death of the patient. Sean Taylor the Washington DB who was shot during a home invasion died from this injury

This is caused by wearing shoes way to small. I ran track, the smaller the shoe in sprints the better. It sounds stupid, but it works. It literally makes you bounce. I figured it out when I could only afford a used pair of spikes that were the best but didn’t fit me. Bought them and started winning .
