Continuity is just as important with players. Another year of playing together strengthens chemistry and familiarity, which is huge for team success. We’ll be fine. Honestly, I’d take 11-6 and a trip to the Super Bowl over 15-2 and getting knocked out in the divisional round any day.

I love what they did this year, but as much as I hate to say it, they need to take some notes from the Chiefs. They consistently show up to the playoffs healthy and peaking in the off-season. It seems silly but there might be something to winning every game by only like 3 points during the regular season lmao. Lions arguably went a little too hard during the season and suffered for it. I'm sure a lot of it was over excitement and all that, but if you want to win the post-season, you need to arrive ready to win in the post-season. Being in the playoffs is a new thing for the lions organization lol, so they'll probably get better at managing things leading up to it.

The offensive and defensive coordinators killed us. Washington has one of the worst run defenses and we should have ran the ball 80/20. Look at what the Eagles did. They had like 7 rush TD’s and threw one TD. Running the ball with Gibbs all game was the key and limit the throws which cost us 5 turnovers included in that was a pass attempt fumbled by Goff. On defense we once again had no TO, zero pass rush, and no sacks.

I think this is a good hire. Dan Campbell needs his guy. Not guys looking to make names and cut bait before the jobs done. Respect to Johnson and Glenn but they used this team and was ready to go and the jobs not done

The only question I have is will this guy run the ball. We don't need another coach that's gonna put Goff back in the shotgun in an empty set on third and one and can't understand why the play didn't work. Just saying that's why we lost the NFL championship game and that's why the Eagles were able to beat the s*** out of the commanders and we couldn't. When you have one of the best running games in the league and you're facing 1 of the worst run defenses in the league run the ball.

The Eagles also actually played defense. Dan Campbell spoke as if he called the 3rd and 1 play and stated he did it because they were going to go for it on 4th. While I disagree with the philosophy, especially in that game, but the offense wasn't the sole reason we lost that game.

@@stickshiftdriver1832 many reasons. Defensive injuries. Struggles against a moving QB. Defense in general is probably the biggest reason. Then questionable play calls at times, Goff had a bad game, players tried to do too much toward the end, failure to do slow methodical drives and keep Washington and Daniels off the field. There were lots of reasons.

@ many of these questionable errors caused the Lions to lose in the first round of the playoffs. How did a first place defense get so many injuries within the first 8 to 12 weeks of the season including Hutchinson? How does the OC make such bonehead plays that a OC in high school football wouldnt even make? How does a quarterback with the third best record in the league especially third in complete passes decide not to be on his A game when it was really needed? When I asked these questions I am called a fake Lions fan. So die hard real Lions fan are that docile they dont dare question things but just say We will get it next year?

This is going to be an even tougher year on the Lions. First mentally overcoming two years in a roll getting so close and getting knocked out. Second, losing coordinators OF and DC. The Lions will need to tweak some stuff particularly when you play the divisional games and against the Bears. Ben knows what we got and how Goff operates, so the Lions will need to be on point against them. I looked at the Lions schedule for 2025 and it is not joke! They want to make sure the Lions don't go 8 and 0 on the road this year.

It took me some days to think about these coaching moves and maybe it comes down to we need different and stay away from what we have been doing overall. Why promote someone who was under the wing of Ben J. Who will most likely continue the same plays that BJ can anticipate. Just a thought.

I would rather the Lions be 13 and 4 and make it to the playoffs with lower expectations than to them being in the position that they were this past season and had a bad game the first round of the playoffs. With lower expectations we won't be too let down if they don't go and be more excited if they do go and win. It's not the fact that they lost the was upsetting. It was how they lost with Goff having the third highest percentage in complete passes in the league only to have a bad game in the playoffs. To me I don't care what right moves they make in the off season . A perfect season with the best coordinator will be useless if they shutdown once again or some other key player(s) decided to have a bad game in the playoffs and blow it

We have a brutal road schedule next year 8 of 9 are against teams with winning records this year and we need to flip the script and go undefeated at home that is easier schedule and go like 4 - 5 or 5 - 4 on the road and finish either 12 - 5 or 13 - 4 and win the division and stay healthy if were a 2 or 3 seed than fine but 13 - 4 might be good enough for the # 1 seed and home field and lets make it to santa clara for Superbowl 60 vs either the Bengals or bills

So, we have all watched the Detroit Lions coaching staff fall to other teams as head coaches and the other. As I set here and watch all these hires and the 1st media days for each of them all I see is a bunch of pretenders and want to b's trying to relive Dan Campbell's football philosophy and competitive drive and thunder. Let me just say nobody does it better or is more real than our #DanCampbell and I'm grateful he is a Detroit Lion and cares for this franchise. All of you that left and try to carry on this man's mojo will fail miserably. To all you franchises making changes there is only 1 Dan Campbell all the rest are pretenders and frauds. This team will move on and Rock N Roll down the tracks just as it has, full steam ahead. So next season as your heading down that dark tunnel and seeing that light getting ever so much closer be ready for that smack to the chops like never before as the Detroit Lions Freight Train Rolls In.

Next year's schedule difficulty will have a greater impact on the lions record in 2025 than losing Ben and Aaron. We have the talent to win if we are healthier. But no way we win 14 or 15 games next year.

Winning 14 or 15 games in a season is tough, not many teams manage to reach that mark. With the talent we have on the roster, I’d be disappointed if we don’t make the playoffs next season.

I don't think I like this hire. Morton has been an OC in the NFL and wasn't a good OC. Detroit is a run heavy team and Mortan seemed to want to almost abandon the run when he was with the Jets. Granted the Jets had a bad running back, and a bad QB then too. Also IDK if aMorton had that much to do with developing Nix. Bo is just a talented player. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see another 12+ win in the 25 season...
