Really the Viking ships weren't found until wad too late for Britain to steal. They haven't conquered Denmark or Norway either ever, or after the ships were found. I can't find evidence that Sweden has a Viking Boat BTW.

@eshaal1239Күн бұрын
Its not "borrow" of you build upon it. The muslims did a great deal of work but almost all of it was built upon the works of indians and greeks. They dont even tey to hide it, if you were to read any islamicate source they all atteibute it to greeks and indians because they considered them very wise. Infact people would make their own books and say they were from popular people (like aristotle) one of the biggest philosophies during that time is the neo platonism which comes from plato, an european. Europe didn't 'plagarize', they built upon the muslims works hence made them their own. You wouldnt call a modern air craft maker out for plagarizing the wright brothers, would you? In the same light you cant call the europeans out. I am not even european and I have no more love for them then I have for any other society. My favourite is definetly easily the medieval islamicate society but one must be honest. I am muslim and from pakistan but there is no point in having any biases.

@@eshaal1239 I understand point of view, but you need to acknowledge that one can see so far only by standing on the shoulders of giants. Yes, it is plagiarism, if you attribute the ideas as your own and not acknowledge those that not only devised it, but also shared that knowledge. I'm not Muslim, but I have studied History, and whilst Europe was going through the Dark ages, the Islamic and Arab world was saving the works of Socrates, Aristotle and Plato, transcribing them into Arabic whilst Christian fundamentalism was burning them as paganism. Europeans, of which I am one, have long stolen much and the only reason you know about the wright brothers' invention (for instance) was because it was patented, and by whom? inventions are not always attributed to those who actually invent them, but by who tells you they invented them.

@kirgan10004 сағат бұрын
@Ferrmes_Fratres no, a merchant lived and died on his reputation that his scale was true. The concept of silver weight is not hard to understand. Take a Islamic coin, and lay it in the scale and see how many lira is needed to have the scale to be balanced. To show his fairness the merchant will also let the customer choose which side on the scale he want to use.

Muslim leadership in the early centuries couldn't find it practical to change all the coins across the empire immediately because the minting process using hammered coinage required significant time and effort. Therefore, they kept using these early-acquired Christian coins until they could gradually replace them with Islamic designs

@YoloMang2 күн бұрын
Some gold is worth more than other gold depends on the size the purity and where it was mined/found like the Kuwaitian dinar is worth 3x the value of the dollar because they have so much gold in their country and they do alot of trade but I Egypt they have even more gold but it's still worth less because the gold is of Less purity
@johnobeid672 күн бұрын
@ that is untrue. Of course impure gold is worth less than pure gold because impure gold has less gold in it than does pure gold. But pure gold (9999) from Egypt is exactly the same as pure gold from Afghanistan as pure gold from Australia. It’s all gold. That’s why there is such a thing as a spot price for gold.
