I don’t understand why they nerfed the grappler from 20 charges down to 10. It’s not the kind of item that’s super overpowered in any way.

It was originally 10 to begin with so if they hadn’t made it 20 in the new OG fortnite I doubt there would have been complaints.

@@ARandomInternetUser08 pretty sure it came out at 15 and was put down to 10 for competition, then moved either back to 15 or went straight up to 20 but 15 was the original count for the grappler 👍🏼

In my opinion the grappling hook thing isn’t the best in builds but in zero builds it can be a little useful in some situations

It can be useful in build fights. You can grapple up to the top and use its attack function knocking opponents off builds and killing them to their death.

ngl in a diamond 2 lobby top 4 situation i got like 3 people to one hp purely from the grapple blade it was awesome. you can use it in the open definitely they get so contused

4:33 they did this to reduce confusion between the weapons. They used to look very similar so people would have 2 shotguns or 2 smgs in one loadout.

they did look very similar. i still think a bunch of the guns still look very similar especially when they have crazy mods on. the scar, sniper and pump are the only ones which are easily distinguishable

I don't like how medallions are weaker. Also movement update is much better. I wish the grappler stayed at 20 charges. Icy grappler should've stayed too. I loved using that thing when it was in. I still will probably take the grapple blade in zb over the grappler because of its infinite uses. I also use the 4x scope all the time on sniper. I dominate with it. I've already hit multiple crazy shots with it. Quickscoping like I'm in CoD. I can see why the icons were changed. I've been getting the weapons confused a lot of times because I swear, a couple of them looked identical. People who endlessly spray are losers.

I think grapple blade takes some getting used to. I find that it’s a much easier item to use when trying to get away from a fight than to go towards one, and gets better use that way anyways. Also, the “blade” part is pretty useless. The blade also allows for wall jumping if you hold away from the wall you grappled to, so you can either get a better angle to grapple the same wall again or move onto a different area, or maybe you could use that to dunk on someone. Overall, both good, use whichever is more fun for you, icy grappler is the best movement in the game

The problem with the grappling hook is it just feels clunky and slow- especially that pause in midair before you grapple. The OG grappler feels fast and fun to use, mostly because it's affected by gravity and has physice which makes it SUPER satisfying to use. The new hook just pulls you slowly in a straight line.

@@budskibros thanks!! The grappler actually used to only have 10 charges, along with fall damage, but they were both changed in Fortnite OG, presumably for zero build players not being able to move as easily.

Me personally I say with the grappler I have died to fall every time I used it but the grapple blade stops you mid air if you need to “panic activate” from hitting the ground on the top of a mountain and hopping off, og grappler has a slow deploy time pretty much!

The icy grappler was super fun yes, but it got exploited so quickly it was so frustrating when you run into a crap team and the last one is spamming that thing thinking theyre clutching. Probably chased him for a good 5 min until the final circle and they had no where else to run. Unless you had one yourself, you will never be catching up to that player. Very glad it got vaulted so quickly.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about how the movement enables machinima and makes the replay theater way better. You couldn't even walk before the movement update. All the machinima videos of Fortnite were people jogging in place.

Grapple blade imo is fire, it has infinite uses, can stop fall damage and can be used as a weapon all at the same time. The normal grappler has limited uses but can prevent fall damage. Both are great, imo the blade is better

Hey so the icons for the medallions were changed because they were bugging out on I believe only consoles where the icons would appear as a white box rather then the medallion icon itself
