From my understanding: God has sent the same messages; 1) to submit to the will of God, and 2) that God is only one. God has sent these basic principles to all groups of people on the Earth throughout history. However, due to these messages having been sent down in different places, they were adopted to different cultures as well. Moreover, these messages were interpreted in multiple ways by the people, and thus after going on multiple interpretations, the original scriptures also changed overtime. That is why, when we look at most of the religions in the world, usually at their very basic principles or core, they actually can be simplified into pretty much the same universal messages, even if their concepts of God are different (because concepts of God came from interpretations, and interpretations change). Even polytheistic religions do share these basic core principles, because they came from the same sources that had been induced by and changed by a lot of cultural influences and multiple interpretations. The reason why interpretations about the universality of the messages of God keep changing is because God Himself essentially an existence that can never be interpreted or understood, and yet humans throughout the history have forced themselves to try to understand God. No matter how much you try to understand God in His entirety, the only result you’d end up with is just yet another interpretation, and interpretation can be right or wrong. That is why, when people try too hard to define God, they create multiple interpretations that somehow got mixed into the universal messages that God originally sent down upon us. Thus, different religions emerged, even though they were originally just the same thing. In conclusion: Cultures and interpretations have created the plurality of the same religion throughout the history of humanity.

spot on Mr Han, there can't be a test if there's no free will. another verse is Qur'an that Dr Naik doesn't mention is "had God willed he could have made all mankind one tribe with one religion, but it is a test to see who is the best in character" cant remember the verse/chaptor number. similarly but completely differently, jealousy is required to drive our defining feature - ie intelligence, but jealousy also leads to bloodshed, we needed that emotion in our design otherwise our intelligence can't be fruitful.

During the council of nicaea, there was a figure called Arius who refused the marriage of Church with political royalty who refused the idea of God above them, and came up with the new doctrine of son god. As a result, the slow and progressive royalties becoming head of churches, and when negative outbreaks happens, Churches takes the blame. Arius believed Jesus was a prophet based on what's presented in a much purer bible than latter translations and cut out parts to fulfil royalty and church doctrines. They're trying to this now in Arabic countries where government failures are only blamed on Islam, even though there is not one Islamic country in the world. Bottom line is, there was a figure who refused the idea of son God and brutally dealt with. His teachings reached Germany and Western Europe, and all those followed his example were made an example of.

So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His) slaves. Holy Quran ❤

You know what I think when they say the Quran is the final message which means Muhammad's the final prophet (pbuh)? It's not about corruption and whatnot ... It means times are ticking, the world is ending. 😮
