Interesting discussion. All of the issues you addressed do force us to ask again, "How do we know what is good?" Even suffering, it seems, can be good, although it doesn't appear that way at the time. Life is a mystery in so many ways. I think for the Christian, it goes back to the cross. There, a suffering Jesus results in the the redemption of humanity. Can it get any "gooder" than that?

Please pray for me. As a single mom I’ve been struggling to make ends meet for some time. Yet the Lord gives me strength to get through each day. Both of my sons are special needs and require much from me. It’s difficult to raise children alone God has intervened and helped me so much. That’s why I keep faith in our HEAVENLY FATHER. As I struggle GOD HAS been by my side. Lord continue to give me strength as I tirelessly struggle to provide for my children❤️

As an AuDHD young adult, my heart goes out to you. while there are now a lot of resources that did not previously exist, raising your kids well must take so much time and energy, especially from a working parent. As an ex-Christian, I also know that religion can be a great resource, but also a great hindrance. By pushing false narratives, it can demonize people (sometimes literally) and hinder people’s access to effective support. Even with the best of intentions, religion can demand your time and insist that it’s helping when it’s really not. It’s important to see things from a mental health perspective and form effective and consistent strategies for dealing with everyday life, rather than just not being depressed. In some cases, disabilities can have roots in genetics, even if it might not be apparent at surface level. If that’s the case, these strategies can help you as well. You should take a look at “masking”, as I know having just a bit of time away from it can be the difference between challenge and total burnout.

You've been posting that same exact message since covid. Stop using your children as bait for pity money.

Genesis 3:17-19 LSB - "17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In pain you will eat of it All the days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”"

He created mosquitoes to kill 500,000 children each year because 1.They were sinners (maybe they stole their siblings toys) 2.They were killed as a lesson for their parents so they could grow in their faith. 3.The devil was attacking them with Gods creation ( but they probably didnt pray in the right way for Healing or protection) 4.They were bitten by mosquitoes so they would reflect on their short lives and come to faith in jesus( it was the only way the all powerful god could think of to show their little hearts he was real) 5. Adam & Eve 🤦🏻♂️ DISGUSTING!!

How much have you done to alleviate the suffering, then?
@OpenMind4U2C2 ай бұрын
Your comment seems to agree with my underlying message that God most likley doesn't exist and that we all should do what we can to reduce suffering in this world perhaps everyone reading this should at the very least sponsor a child and village in Africa as that's where most are dying.

@@OpenMind4U2C I agree that suffering is a profound problem, but I think the evidence for the resurrection is so overwhelming that the only rational course is to accept it, and understand suffering in its light.

If you think the only rational course is to accept that the laws of physics have been suspended once in history to support your favourite God I don't think I'm going to change your mind. All the best 🙂

@@Andre-qo5ek If you've actually opened the Bible, you'll find Jesus didn't expect people to accept Him as Lord God and Savior through lip service alone. He performed miracles as EVIDENCE that He is God. But He didn't go full-on Avatar State for that; He performed enough miracles for reasonable faith, like, oh idk, the resurrection? Even in the OT God performed miracles to convince people to trust Him. Faith is trust based on evidence.

@@grantbartley483Faith is using what we know to be assured of what we don't know. We've read the Bible; we know smth about God, but not all of Him. But we don't need to know all about Him to trust Him; just enough facts to be reasonably convinced. You don't need to know everything about a person to trust them enough to be a friend, customer, or spouse; just enough facts to be reasonably convinced. Otherwise the concepts of "relationship" and "privacy" cannot coexist.
