It’ll be good to move the splitter around the woodyard

It does make that alot easier.

Hey Andy, nice looking fleet you’re building up there! Wild stab on $$, I’m gonna say $13.5, unless it has crazy hours on it. Lots of variables that go into the value of a tractor. We have a couple of her larger cousins, 2032r and a 3320. The Ol Ford definitely has its limitations, but when the conditions are favorable they’re a heck of a workhorse. Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

Thanks Ted really appreciate it, I got everything for $18k. Had 435 hrs from everything I was seeing couldn't beat it. John Deere definitely makes a heck of a machine but the price tag also shows that. The ford is an awesome tractor I'm hoping one day when I have a real shop that I can restore it. But time will tell.take care ted talk to you soon.

I have a Kubota Bx with a backhoe. I find myself putting twice as much seat time on it than i do my big tractor. I use it a lot in my woodyard moving rounds, etc. I hope you get as much use out of yours as i am mine.

That little 1025R can lift a 12-14in oak log at full height with the weight of the grapple or forks. Say when I go to get a tractor, probably a hundred years from now, what size tractor would you say would be good for me?
@outdoorswithandy732 Жыл бұрын
It all depends on the needs and what all you have going on. Right now in the wood yard, don't really think you need one. But now you start going out doing custom jobs and have a few acres that needs maintained from a j.d point I think a 2032 would fit you perfectly. But where everyone messes up is they under buy. Which means you don't buy a tractor that fits your needs. They buy a tractor that they lime and that's it. That's why you see so many people trading in their 1025 or 1023 because they didn't buy big enough. There is a channel and he named the video "don't buy a 1025r" ok so now the question is why shouldn't I? The reason was, he didn't buy big enough so the projects that he was doing was taking 10x as long. Well duh. So another words do you homework and buy smart.

@Outdoors With Andy The Log Father uses a 2 series JD and it works for him. He does a lot of work with it. Mostly need the lift capacity to do custom jobs and sorting out logs in the woodyard. Wouldn't need a big tractor to move rounds, but something bigger to move logs. I'll get there eventually, the custom side jobs that is.

It all takes time, nobody got there over night.

@Outdoors With Andy , lack of patience is my problem. You've seen it in the pm's I've sent you. On a side note, mini-skidsteers really beats up the body. Don't recommend those unless using it for an hour or so and then give the back a rest.

@@outdoorswithandy732 Make sure to check the air cleaner mount. They were known for cracking at the valve cover studs and dropping pieces into the valve train. They moved the mount to the radiator area on newer models. Been working on those since their inception. Great little homeowner tractor.

That was the very first thing I did was upgrade the air cleaner. Absolutely love mine, taking it to Greentown Indiana this weekend for the Hoosier firewood hysteria.
