You never use top end speed anyhow. Just want something that gets up to say 140km hour fast. Nimble/playful in the twisties and got a loud grunt. The rest is high risk stuff . Suprised people dont buy the xsr700 thou but personal taste hey. . They looks awesome. Cheers man. Glad you got back on the bike.

i chose an Yamaha FZ6 as my first big bike only because of the dual tail pipes at the back lol, but during the summer found it to be really fun, always loved getting revved out, great in the corners and made a great noise at 14k rpm, I've since sold it and now looking into to getting an sv1000 next year as i like the mt07 rumble but too broke to buy one lol, glad you stuck with your mt07, if i could i would've kept my fz6 but might as well try to move onto bigger things

having ridden some FAST bikes and some slower bikes like the Grom, ive come to fine a few things. Personally speed isnt something i want, i like torque over top speed. PLUS the roads in the uk arent the best, so having something over a middleweight cc bike is just for show, or late night runs on the motorway since you cant do any silly speeds without getting caught in this country. i have an r7 (mt07 with fairings) and for my A bike i want a supermoto for the fun factor

I agree bud, how often can you use the top end power on bigger bikes on the street. I'd rather torque over top speed any day 🤘🏻 more usable power I think. I also want a supermoto but not sure how it would be in the winter as I'm limited to bikes only 🤘🏻 only way to find out is the get one I guess 😂

how are you liking the protaper bars in comparison to the stock ones? did you have any problems with the lenght of the wires when installing the protaper bars?

They are perfect my dude. No issues fitting them at all. Wires are fine with these bars. I didn't cut these down either so they are the full length. I've tried the renthal ultra low road bars on an older MT07 and I'd say personally, the Protaper ones are better. Just be careful when riding after installation as it changes the handling a bit 🤘🏻

@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs it definitely looks sick, probably makes wheeling easier too. in terms of handeling, how would you say it changes? i could see it handeling more like a dirtbike.

@@Mike-cq3lx wheelies feel so much better with these. The handling doesnt change much, just where the bars are wider and your hands sit further away from the centre. You'll notice that when you turn, you'll need to turn the bars more than you would before due to where your hands are now sitting. Its not a lot but it's enough to notice, so when you do it, just keep that in mind until you get accustomed to it. I don't want you coming off due to that. It almost happened to me the first time I went riding with the new bars on a roundabout when it was wet. Be careful bud 🤘🏻

@@Mike-cq3lx 24mx.co.uk is the best price atm for the Protaper Evo Carmichael bars 🤘🏻what gen Mt do you have? as the clamp sizes are different from the gen 1 and 2 compared to the gen 3 and 4

How old do u have to be for the mt07

I'm not sure on the ages for the licence system. I know you can get a restricted mt07 on an A2 license but I'm not 100% sure how old you have to be to get that license. I think it's 19 but I'm not certain 🤘🏻
