Why Did I Convert to E85

I wanted to explain why I am now running E85 in my 66cc 2 stroke bike engine.

That is Freaking Awesome man ! Get some biodiesel instead of 2 stroke oil. You could bump up the CR ratio to over come the cold start problems.Good on you man, that is so cool ! Sweet !

Running ethanol in 2-strokes is fine.

This engine is a very old soviet design. WW2 era. So you are right about it smelling like cars from the 30' haha!

the smoke is water vapor with e85

Smells like whiskey. Up the compression till you can barely start it because e85 will literally never knock even when boosted

Probable running to lean try decreasing the air intake. Or try pure ethanol.

Pure ethanol is an even higher oxygen percentage
