The journal had secrets hidden in it. After Sayori died and it replayed the song again, instead of empty pages it went something like this. "Again x20" and "I am sorry Sayori" and when Yuri and the others die it replaces it with Monika and third eye kind of stuff

There is a lot of secret in this video. For example, in the second and third act, there are eraser shaving next to the words in the book, giving of the clue that Monika changed the lyrics. Also, the first time the book opens, it shows a bunch of the normal poem words that you can use in the poem minigame. The second time the book opens, it says "haven't I write this before? Must not forget. Must not forget. Must not forget." Etc, with an end of "I'm sorry Sayori." Showing that the Main character was trying to remember, but couldn't. If you don't know all the secrets yet, I recommend going to the original video and look in the comment section. Someone there, at the top, labeled everything.

I like the backgrounds of each character during the chorus Sayori - Bows (like the bow she wears) and ropes after her death Yuri - Books with a single eye in the middle (referencing the Portrait of Markov, the book Yuri gives you) and knives which shows Yuris obsession with them Natsuki - Cupcakes and then cupcakes with the blacked out and bleeding eyes (what happens to her before she ‘snaps’) I don’t quite know what objects are in the background during Monika’s, I know the others it’s JUST MONIKA I don’t know 😅

There are a few pages that the journal flips past right before getting to that pages with the lyrics, and if you go frame by frame, you can read all the writing on them. The first time, they just had random drawings and little mini poems on them(the highlight of those being "roses are red, violets are blue, poetry sucks). The second time, Monika was writing, and it said things like,"wandering," and "haven't I written this before?" But the last page said, "Forgive me, Sayori." The final time, most of what it said was "Monika," or "JUST MONIKA," but that last page said, "OPEN YOUR THIRD EYE," with an ominous eye sketched right in the middle of the page.
