Man, PopularMMOs was my idol back in the day. I started playing around with mods in Minecraft because of him, and I really loved him and Jen doing Minecraft videos together. Sadly, Pat and Jen are no longer together, and Pat is mostly a shadow of his former self. He got in trouble with the law like three times, and he hung out with a couple of other women who were... not the best people, to say the least. You know as they say, never meet your heroes. Luckily, DanTDM did not go down the same dark path as PopularMMOs. He's still highly respected, and he even has a wife and kids now.

I think the main cause for this new type of content is the fact that, on KZbin there is so much more competition now than ever. This forces creators to "one up" each other and try to make more stimulating and more retention focused content. During old KZbin, only a few decent creators existed, so once you found one you liked (for me it was popularmmos and SSundee), you usually stuck with that person for up to multiple years. Now its hard to make that type of connection with an audience with the insane amount of competition on KZbin. Anyways, I'm done yapping. good video btw

My brother one day put on a video of aphmau hide and seek which was the first time I learned about her so we watched her newer videos. At the time she still uploaded almost daily, but it was at least entertains to watch and we could tell that they enjoyed making it but now it’s just… content farming. I feel like there’s no soul put into it. Aphmau announced that she was working on a big project (idk where she said it at but Ik she did) so I really hope it’s a continuation of my street or at least a role play where the characters actually feel human. I mean she has the money clearly so it shouldn’t be too hard. I feel like if she brought back roleplays, she’d be able to bring back the old fans.

I was an avid watcher of Aphmau before the pandemic hit. I absolutely loved it when she would go out of character and do non-minecraft games with her friends, just being herself around Jason and everyone else she invited. The video was cool, you talked pretty much how the game doesn't have anything with the "real" minecraft you could call it now, but we can see that you didn't take much attention to the different "era" or "timelines" of minecraft, there was for exemple the Hardcore/100days series that got Minecraft into a very high play rate, mainly led by Sandiction. Or the rise of Dream and Technoblade (RIP Technoblade, you never die in our hearts) who got the SMP and PVP rise a lot in the game. But over all, the video was cool and Liked it. I used to watch Aphmaus my street series. I loved it so much! I remember waiting for school to end so I could go on the laptop and watch it. And seeing how repetitive, dead, and boring her videos are now, it sucks...

I started Minecraft when I was 3 back 8yrs ago I had fun over the years I got bored of it because I did not have a creative mind but it was until 2021 when I was watching hardcore videos that brought me back to minecraft I was learning commands but now I own java edition now i can switch versions and many more I got a creative mind because of Minecraft I started using lego and toys I am starting to get interested in python without Minecraft my life would be alot sadder

I love Minecraft Diaries, and Aphmau's other old fantasy type things. I never liked shows like My Street. I didn’t even know she was still making stuff! If I knew a kid who liked modern Aphmau I'm putting on Minecraft Diaries so they know what her GOOD content is

While I agree on some points, you're looking at specific parts of the Minecraft community, specifically, the most popular parts. While you, I, and many people can see that they're doing it for money, there are an equal amount of people that enjoy that content, and when the content gets views from people who want to see it, it's hard to argue with. The content you seem to have enjoyed is dwindling, while content others are enjoying is booming.
