I’m gonna be totally honest, less than 2 months of no contact and finding out she’s in a relationship, I stopped caring. I have more important stuff to worry about. I let her move on and right now, I’m moving on. Even though she is my first serious love, it’s over. It hurts sometimes, but I don’t care about her anymore. Not my problem anymore.

Mmm situational it depends. Might have been for you, but the underlining hurts and pains and issues people have make them do things irrationally. Some are narcissist, some are serial daters, etc. a lot want to avoid the pain so they jump into another one quick.

Im just as sad thinking about falling out of love with her, forgetting her and moving on as i am with her breaking up with me in the first place. It happened to me recently we did all these trips and she said for the last to months I’ve looked at you as a friend and I have feeling for someone else, she is now dating that person but she tells me she still loves me, misses me and regrets doing it and she said she can’t come back to me because she can’t face my family and now she’s finding her own place and he’s moving up here and no doubt they’ll start living together but what I don’t understand is if all of this is true what she’s telling me then I don’t get why she can’t come back like to me it makes no sense she’s told me she can’t see me not in her life and that ad it’s killing me I don’t know what to think say or do

Thanks for another good video. I agree with what you're saying. It still hurt, even knowing it's just a shallow facade. At this point, he's chosen to be with someone awful, so I don't know how I could ever be intimate with him again, you know? I envision him slobbering all over that beast and it's repulsive. It won't happen, but how could you block that thought out? I guess it would take a huge amount of clarity (to know the rebound was really more of a reaction) and unconditional love/acceptance that we're all flawed and make regrettregrettable choices. What I can't wrap my head around is how they are able to even attempt to connect romantically with someone else so soon? I only tried a casual fling to make me feel better and I felt physically sick because it wasn't my ex. How do they even force the illusion of happiness around someone else like that unless they're a sociopath? I just cannot understand it. I don't even want to be around someone else. Me and my ex dated for about a year and a half. And she really didn't show me off till the middle of it. And yes she never lied to having a boyfriend but she was very hesitant to bring me around all her friends and family. We ended up having issues over a guy that she kept saying its a friend. And also other issues besides hime towards the end. We had a bad break up over him cause she changed and hid his name for a while cause she said I overreact over guys. Then about 2 weeks later she was with him and said they just clicked. But she still contacts me about her family issues cause I was always there. Recently she is financially unstable and her dad has heart surgery later this week. Ohh yeah we broke up in the beginning of December and they started dating at right before Christmas. She has a lot of stress at the moment and just last week she was talking about the bad things about him to me cause she was stressing and I wasn't too sure she was with him or not. But suddenly after she started posting him up and showing him off wayyy faster than our relationship. It took her 5 months for me to meet her full family and he meets them just recently. She changed her whole life style to "move on" from me. I dont get how she replaced me within a few weeks after our break up. And the saddest part is that I had a "spark up" date to get it rolling again. But she ended up not going with me but to find out she was with him. We didn't talk for a week from the break up thats why I wanted a lil surprise date. And her siblings tell me most nights she still cries about us ending. But I don't understand if she has a new man and she says she is over me. Can someone explain what is happening.

It's 3 years late but I'm still going to respond as I'm in the same boat now. She broke up with me over a year ago and couldn't tell me why. I guess there were multiple reasons in both sides but I stayed way to long until she just decided to cut ties. It still hurts because she now lives with a new guy and is "happy" on social media presenting her relationship even tho she explicitly told me she wouldn't do that ever. When someone checks out emotionally while still in a relationship then attaches to someone else soon after break up it's called monkey branching (directly going from one relationship to another). Technically speaking monkey branching occurs when they had someone already lined up before they ended things with their previous relationship so it's not exactly the same as a rebound. It's not considered healthy behavior and the new relationship will probably eventually end the same way (especially if this has always been the pattern). This is because the person didn't really give themselves time and space to explore what went wrong before jumping ship/moving on to someone else and therefore didn't mature or grow from the experience. If they were unhappy, for example, before throwing the towel in did they communicate with their partner, try to resolve problems, look at the role they played in a less than satisfying situation? It's easier to check out emotionally (while still staying in the relationship) than taking steps to either improve the relationship or leave. So are they ready for a relationship straight away after the break up? Perhaps. However, unless they've done the inner work (and if they were quick to move on, even if they had already checked out emotionally, this suggests they didn't give themselves the necessary space and time to) it won't be a healthy one.
