Comparing the times of Prophet Muhammad (1400 years back) to today's time isn't appropriate as rightly claimed by Sheikh. U guys are thinking, keeping in mind, today's time ! Alot have changed in these 1400 years obviously, Things back then, were really different. Marrying a girl of 9/10years was Normal back then. In india, people used to marry their child at the age of 5/6 years (Baal Vivah), which got abolished recently...and now is a crime!

Age traditions were lower between 6 - 10 mostly everywhere, especially in Christianity and Judaism until 1920. Google(age of consent USA 1880). Female adulthood was define by age of puberty i.e(8 - 10, 12). We can't apply age standards of today on the previous generations. for example: jewish doctrine and many Rabbis have already clarified that Rebekah was 3 when married to Isaac. There's no minimum age of consent in the bible either.

For example: As in 2024 age of consent standards in EU are still between 14 - 16 and in other countries between 16 - 21, just google(Age of consent EU) different time, different countries have different age standards. In the Future age standards could go up to 25 and 30 or down again , 100 to 300 years from now. If we apply your logic to Judge using current age standards then you're already wrong according to future generations and past generations.

I’m a traditional Shia Muslim (my parents and grandparents etc. were Shia Muslims). Actually there is a difference between Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims when it comes to the marriage of Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). We Shias don’t that Aisha was 23 years old when The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) married her. We believe this story of Prophet (S.A.A.W.) marrying a child was a deliberate attempt from the leaders of Banu Umayya who pretended to have accepted Islam after Muslims’ victory over Mekkah but they never accepted Islam from their hearts and later on when they took over the Muslim Caliphate (Government) they made they burnt and destroyed the historical evidence and made the historians by force to write this new story of Prophet marrying a child in order to give a bad name to Prophet and his clan (banu Hashim). Later on the very same leaders of Banu Umayya went a step forward and killed/martyred the grandson of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) along with 18 males of Holy Prophet’s family and extended family who all belonged from Banu Hashim Clan. So we Shias believe that Banu Umayyah were jealous of Banu Hashim since the very first day when prophet announced his prophecy. Because Banu Umayyah wanted some one from their own clan/tribe to be the prophet not from Banu Hashim or any other clan/tribe of that time and because Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) was not from Banu Umayyah so they didn’t accept his prophecy by heart. They only had to accept Islam not to be killed/punished by Muslims because Muslims had become very powerful by the time of Victory on Mekkah. More over Shia Muslims don’t accept the idea of marrying a child by Prophet (P.B.U.H.) because it has not been mentioned or encouraged in Quran (the Holy Book of Muslims). So this story comes from man made books (not Quran) written/influenced by Banu Umayya Leaders/Rulers who infilterated Islam and tried to give Islam a bad name and continued their wrong practices in the name of Islam till the end of their Rule (Banu Umayyah Caliphate) including the killing of Prophet’s Grandson and 18 members of Prophet’s immediate family and clan members and 72 people in total just in Karbala. The incident of Karbala (Waqia Karbala) happened because of the Rulers of Banu Umayyah in the name of Islamic Caliphate and unfortunately Sunni Muslims believe in this story while there’s no mention or encouragement of marrying a child/minor in Holy Quran.

@@NewsforThought-English What I believe is that a Devine Religion like Islam cannot encourage the marriage of a 9 year old child with an adult despite of it happening 1400 years ago. Because Islam did not come only for the past but it has also come for the future therefore it cannot be correct for just one time (1400 years ago) and it becomes wrong today or in the future. Islam’s teachings are forever not for a snap shot (1400 years ago) of history. Moreover it’s not only me saying that even some Sunni Muslim Scholars also reject this story of Prophet (P.B.U.H.) marrying a 9 year old child/minor. I’m giving you the reference of Shafie Ayar (Sunni Muslim Scholar based in America). You can google him on Shafie Ayar page or find his videos on KZbin. In one of his videos he claims to have a very old version of Sahih Bokhari (written more than 1300 years ago) before the time of Banu Umayyah) and according to that version of Bokhari Ayisha was not 9 years old instead she was an adult at the time of her marriage between the ages of 17-23 years depending on different Sahabas quoting different Hadiths according to their own memories. @@nasimnaeemi9745 Shafie Ayar doesn't speak Arabic nor English in his videos and I don't understand Farsi or what he's speaking. Nevertheless his claim is bogus. All major Sunni imams have no issue with the incident. Your opinion is your opinion. Islam's opinion was and always will be this: "If she's able to be married physically and mentally and agrees/her care taker agrees, then it's allowed" And all these conditions were met, end of story. And those conditions are timeless, not the incident, which happened to a literal prophet. You feel, I feel, she feels are irrelevant. Even nowadays we see 9 year olds able to be pregnant AKA physically ready, why not back then? She only spoke well of her husband (PBUH) she didn't get married after him, she loved him deeply, she was a torch of knowledge for a long time after his passing due to her being with him from a young age (God's wisdom at play). I advise you to get over yourself and look at what's in infront of your eyes for I fear you are closing your heart my guy.

Aisha's young age? Muslims have tried to answer this question time and time again but, this question keeps coming up. So long Ayesha herself had no objection and never complained about it, and she never tried to run away from the Prophet pbuh, why should it be anyone's problem? She was even given the choice to leave the Prophet pbuh or get divorced, but she declined that offer. Do people ever ask why, in the Bible, Rebecca was married to Prophet Isaac pbuh when she was only three years of age? Or why a very young Mary, Mother of Jesus pbuh, was married to a very old man? Or why in medieval Europe it was quite common for young girls to be married off to much older men? Just because our lifestyles and habits have changed, it does not mean that we can look down upon the habits and traditions of the past generations. They had their reasons and needs.

The very first question you guys should have asked tho: where your moral standard comes from? Cuz, perhaps your society will be ok for siblings mate each other tomorrow? Are you guys gonna be fine with that? Love is love eh. We know from the quran that you can marry a women, as long as you dont harm her. They are mature, mentally and physically. Nowadays even 25y.o women, many of them aint mature mentally. The prophet married her. So it means, there was no harm in it. And indeed in a hadid, Aisha said, she got married when she was 6 years old. Well, she obviously didnt talk about gregorian calendar. Not even islamic calendar. Cuz, it wasnt started before her marrying the prophet. Not to mention, the prophet was born in the "year of elephant". Now the question you should have asked: 6 years of what? However, i ve seen on ometv or omegle, we often mistook 11-13 y.o east european girl to be 18-20 y.o On contrary, i ve seen how european mistook 28 y.o asian guy to be 18 y.o. So, truly different maturity rate does exist. Being mature at 9y.o is not impossible. Not to mention, i ve noticed it myself that my class mate got period at 5th grader. So, excuse me to mention this: but, you guys aint open minded enough. I would suggest you guys to go travel and see the reality all over the world out there. Specially traveling to africa, south american, or asia. But again, according to western love standard. If 6 y.o girl wanted to marry 60 y.o man. I do have a different take on this topic, I wouldn't say it's Unique, because their have been many Muslims who did not believe that Aisha was a young girl when Prophet ( pbuh) married her, those narratives ( hadith ) have hidden defects in them, I eould like you to Read a Booklet online that address this topic ( AISHA - by Ruqaiyyah Waris Maqsood) in which she gave references to prove that Aisha was older, furthermore a scholar by the name of Dr Joshua Little ( A Non Muslim ) done a thesis on this topic and concluded that those Narratives are baseless and defective. I also likes to point out that Shia Muslims ( about 15% of Muslim population) reject those Narratives outright as a Slander towards a Prophet,! So in a Nutshell, not every Narrative is acceptable and above Critical Analysis.... We Muslims believe that Only Qur'an is above error, the rest can be correct or incorrect.

This story of marrying a child is Banu Umayyah Rulers man made story to give prophet (P.B.U.H.) and the whole of Islam a bad name. Ayisha was 23 years old at the time of her marriage not 8 years old. As a reference I can tell you that even a Sunni Muslim scholar (Shafi Ayyar) based in America claims to have a very old book of Sahih Bokhari before Banu Umayyah leaders rule on Muslims, says that Ayisha was not 9 years old at all. This is a fake story against the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and against Real Islam.

And he says according to that book Ayisha’s age was 23 years old and she was adult at the time of her marriage with Prophet (P.B.U.H.) . She was not 9 years old at all.

My questions would be - Why is there dofferent versions of the quran with different wording and recitations ? Muslims reading hafs would claim its the one true book , yet take their hafs quran to africa/morocco and ask a muslim there if its correct and they would say its wrong . 2- if the quran is the written word of allah. And the word of allah cant be corrupted or wrong , then why does he have so many mistakes in it his book, simple example, age of the earth is about 4 billion years old , age of the universe is 14billiom years. So universe is older than earth. Quran states allah created the earth first, then created all the stars ( lanterns) etc in the sky after . So alah / the quran has got it the wrong way round. 3- why does the quran say its ok to use your captured slaves as sex slaves ,but not to get them pregnant as it lowers their value 4, who does allah pray to? Does he pray to himself , think its chapter 45 verse 15 it says allah prays with the angels .in Arabic, doesnt say it in the english translation. Why would allah pray and why/who would he pray to ? There is none other devine so he prays to himself 5- why when muslims do their prayers 5 times a day do they pray to the prophet at the begining so allah can here them ? The prophet was a man who is burried in the ground . Why would you pray to a dead man so the god can hear. Thats a bit pagan / necromancy talking to dead people. 6- how did allah the all knowing and creator of everything get embryology wrong ? Its parts in the quran copys what the jewish talmud and a jewish scientist says galen which was a cpl hundred years before islam . But they development of embryology is wrong in those txts and the quran that copied it is also wrong. 7 - in one verse the quran says noah and his family will be saved / spared but in another verse it says noahs son will not be saved . Bit of a contradiction for a book with no contradiction 8- why did allah do the perverted act of blowing into marys v-gina to get her pregnant .why woud a god have to blow air into the womans parts 👀👀 9- another verse describes black people and black slaves and says they are less value then other races , why? 10- why did the earliest mosques all around the world point to a different place that the direction they currently do towards mecca for the ka-ba? Ealry mosuques still vistitable today dont point to mecca . Before the qibla would point to Jerusalem, but got chnged tom face kabba in mecca.WHY? 11 why is there a verse in The quran that says muslims need christians and jews help to get out of hell

@Unstable_TV Not trying to make it sound like a dig at islam, I'm.not saying anyone who follows islam is wrong. I don't have any particular following to any particular religion. I just find alot of inconsistency etc with islam thet3s lots more things , verses and chapters can be provided as evidence. I've seen imans and scholars twist meanings when asked questions. I've watched a dawah /speaker who is meant to educate on islam hold an Arabic quran in his hand , read the Arabic verse/passage to a Christian to give as proof/ example to the christians question to back up his claims . Didn't realise the Christian could read Arabic or knew some Arabic words and when the dawah guy read the verse he changed the words in the verse to try support his claim and the Christian called him out for lying and changing the words and meaning of the verse. It Let me down seeing a muslim with a holy quran in his hand reading the verse in Arabic and lying about what he was reading and this is meant to be a well respected person who's very popular on KZbin. Same with other channels on islam showing footage of their debates and discussions, they edit the footage ,cut the clips certain ways or cut the audio out partially to make it seem like it's a fault but it was hiding the muslim person loosing the debate or lying on their points as I had to go to another channel to see and hear the full debate unedited. Seems to happen more with educated muslims speaking to educated Jews or Christians rather than your average Joe on the street who doesn't know religious history or doesn't know their scripture . If you haven't heard or seen mansur on speakers corner in London, he's been caught out a few times , looks good talking and debating with average Joe, when he meets an educated Christian or jew he hasn't seen or knows before he gets caught out or walks away from the debate saying he's been insulted . Disappointing when you just want to see 2 educated knowledgeable people ask questions and provide factual evidence , not their own belief and understanding or interpretation . But physical proof, verses , quotes, chapters etc

Muslim countries are marrying children as we speak. This is the problem. Reform, if teachings are outdated. Alarmingly many muslims even in western countries are defending this practice and marrying underaged girls. Problem with reforming anything in islam is that the word of god is not to be changed at all according to quran.
