David; you might want to look into the RigRunner series products from West Mountain Radio for distributing 12 volt power to various appliances. I've got two plug strips that I can switch from the Main Power Station (after some struggle and with some help I finally got Bluetti to replace the faulty AC300 console) to shore power. When I'm charging a batteries (like in early January you're still dealing with early post-winter solstice, clouds and rain) I can give my house power sources a rest (after charging). Four times when I have shore power, I use AC chargers for the phone and the like, and I have the chargers plugged into in-line switches so I can disconnect them from the circuit when I'm using Inverters and batteries. In offered situations I'm still using a 500-watt jackery is a phone charger and a Cigarette Lighter Port which for now runs some of my overhead lighting and a Maxxair fans I just had installed. I have some of these appliances on banana plugs and I managed to get a banana plug to cigarette lighter adapter to power them. Part of this is a temporary hookup which I hope to improve on.

@TheCampulanceMan Жыл бұрын
Yes, we don't get the same sunrises and sunsets in NY - mostly because the horizon is blocked and we don't get to see far off in the distance like we do here in AZ :)

@@TheCampulanceMan that makes total sense. Hey, I can’t recall on your channel but do you have a drone? Do you ever put up any drone footage? I’m still in the process of watching all your older videos. I have my part 107 certificate, so if there’s any questions I can answer for you about drones I’ll be happy to. I was also an instructor for DARTdrones for a while, which is a nationwide company.
@TheCampulanceMan Жыл бұрын
@@joeglennaz Thanks Joe. I have a bad story about my life with drones... I will share it one of these days in a video, but I'll share it with you. A company sent me a drone - the Ruko F11GIM2. I was in the process of learning to use it and then it disappeared. It is either somewhere back in NY at mom's house, but I've had mom and my daughter look all over the house for it (it was in its hard case) and they never found it. So, either it was stolen from my rig somehow, I left it somewhere (but I never had it out until I went to take it out for the first time and it was nowhere to be found in my rig), or it was stolen from my rig when it was in the shop for the rear end repair. So, I am droneless and I can't lay out that kind of money and I haven't been able to find another company willing to send me one... So the drone topic is a sore spot for me right now :(
@joeglennaz Жыл бұрын
@@TheCampulanceMan oh wow I’m sorry to hear that. I want to know if you do decide to get one I would recommend considering the brand call DJI. There’s another drones made in America. It’s a little blue one and it’s really good at obstacle avoidance but he doesn’t have near the range as a DJI drones I think an all-around good drone would be the DJI air 2S it’s just a great all-around drone. Not too big not too small. Can handle a lot of wind. has about a 7 mile range not that you would ever fly that far has so many automated modes that make film making easy. Anyway sorry to hear about that story. You know one other thing I watched your video recently we talked about how much it meant to you when people send you stuff and come visit you and how different that is in your past life. I can understand that in a way because I work from home and I live alone with my dog so I’m by myself a lot, but even so there’s some kind of connection through these videos. Like I feel like you’re a friend of mine and I know it’s only one way because you don’t even know me but me knowing your personality and how you are you’re the kind of person I would like to be friends with, so I think that’s resonating with lots of other people as well, and as for many problems as technology brings us especially social media. It has some great aspects as well like this, and being able to connect with people from the old days that we probably never would’ve never seen again.
@TheCampulanceMan Жыл бұрын
@@joeglennaz Thank you Joe for your comment. I spend a lot of time talking to a black box but, after doing it for so long, I feel like I'm talking to all of you. I have so much footage that I never use where I am just talking and talking and talking about whatever is on my mind and suddenly I realize I've got 30+ minutes of rambling. Most of that never gets used... but it's the same way that I would be talking with folks that are sitting around with me... I am just afraid that I would drive people away if I actually posted those video clips :/ Choosing a drone always takes me down a rabbit hole. I know of DJI (I have a DJI camera) and I know they make high-quality gear, but even they offer so many choices that I end up with a spinny head trying to figure out which one would be the right one for me. I have some 'MUST DO' features: Follow me (for following me on my dirt bike) and the circle object (whatever that is called) - where the drone does a 360* around a fixed object (me) at an adjustable height and speed. Some of the DJI DON'T have the Follow Me even though they are higher-end models with higher-end price tags. So you see how I can get confused when I try to decide on a model to focus on - so much so that I end up closing the laptop in frustration. And then there are the price tags. The Ruko Gim2 is fairly priced, has the features I must have, and it has decent reviews, even from the Drone channels that have tested it. So I contacted them and asked if they'd be interested in letting me have one in order to 'supercharge' the video quality on my channel and ... they said sure, and sent me one. And then I go and lose it/let it get stolen/ I don't know. I went through a month period where I was so frustrated at it being missing - I'm not the kind of person that loses stuff (everything has its place) so you can imagine how I was feeling when it came up missing. I kind of lost my mind for a month as I kept going back through packing up the truck, having the truck in the shop... I need to stop talking about it because I can get myself wound up over it again... I never even got to fly the thing :/ Thank you again for your comment and for speaking about your connection to me fro your side of the lens. I appreciate you sharing that with me,
