I was surprised and blessed when Dr. Humphries said that the Theotokos brings our Lord near to us. That makes so much sense, and yet I have never thought of the Lord's Mother that way! What a blessing!!!

Sometimes we forget the role of the Holy Book itself in leading people to truth without a lot of arguments such those we have with protestants concerning conflicts between us

Very nice video. I can definitely relate to her journey, I myself am on mine. I feel no urgency to rush the process, on the contrary.... I’m enjoying progression, and valuing the little things upon the way . Thanks again good Doctor... ☦️🙏☦️ 🐝

I did because I was disatissfied with how Protestants believe the Apostle's Church went extinct. That being said, it was very likely that I would have become Anglican or Lutheran if I had to remain Protestant. I was extremely low church Protestant.

I enjoyed her story and I love to her speak. Does she have any lectures or anything, besides her podcast?

Does anyone know what hymn she is referring to? I can't find it D: It's not the troparion or the kontakion from the feast of the Meeting in the Temple.

How I wish I could talk to one of your wonderful guests about Orthodoxy & antisemitism. No Br Nathaniel please!

I love thise videos and don't want to sound ungrateful but I just feel the introduction to each video is a bit to long. Maybe more of the information that is given at the start could be given in the description underneath, and the music be cut a bit shorter. The content is always top class and inspiring so this is just meant as a bit of constructive criticism. God bless.

Maybe introducing the speeker at the beginning of the video is out respect, especially if others share the video, because they won't share the description I guess

What does she mean by Salvation Army? Is that another term for evangelicals?
@edithmhumphrey22543 жыл бұрын
The Salvation Army is a denomination that sprang from Methodism. It also does social work.

My problem with Orthodoxy is its weak doctrine of the atonement, also, its claim to be the one, true church. Sorry, but wherever the Holy Trinity is believed in and worshiped, there is the one true church.
@lessthandust5 жыл бұрын
A doctrine developed in the last two centuries. The Early Church was far away to believe something like that. You can claim that your Church is one, true Church without judging other christian communities. The solution is not relativism, but humility - a movement from bottom of your heart.

The atonement is orthodox, absolutely, just not in the way latins understand it
