I totally recommend listening to Cry For Love so we can all celebrate that she's engaged so she doesn't have to cry for love anymore

I feel the part about people being tired of Disney produced pop stars is actually way more true by the time z dropped her debut album 2013 was when that era of more indie/alternative/niche based artists were attracting mainstream attention and more people were opposing things that felt too mainstream and Hollywood manufactured coded and kids/teens especially were having this attitude. There was also social media influencer culture beginning its cultural domination and was already starting to change the way we viewed celebrities through authenticity and relatability. I remember this sentiment happening and causing those supposing to be zendaya main demographic simply not here for more Disney based pop stars, I believe Z could’ve thrived more if she took the Ariana grande/olivia roderigo route and used her popularity on Disney to build a social media following and get signed to another major label outside of Disney

I don't think she ever really wanted to be a pop star obviously she was meant to be an actress cause she's winning golden globes now, but I think its great that she's releasing songs for tv and movies.

Hollywood Records always drop the ball with the ethnic artists on the label. The label did the same with Raven Symone, Coco Jones and China McClain and her sisters Sierra and Lauryn. The black artists don't get pushed like the white artists.
