Frequency - earlier times frequency set as 60hz to adjust the bulb flicker. After that they standardized 50hz, because in 230v the bulb didn't flickered on 50hz. So 50/60, no big changes

100 V in Japan 120 V in North America, 230 V in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia Direct current was produced in 1800 by Italian physicist Alessandro Volta's battery The first alternator to produce alternating current was a dynamo-electric generator constructed by the French instrument maker Hippolyte Pixii in 1832
@engineeringfacts
@engineeringfacts 4 жыл бұрын
Alessandro volta, was only made a way to gain potential difference between two different materials, which we call as battery now. There's no direct current or alternating current at that time. He even didn't know that. Electricity was first used by Edison by bulb, using DC Dynamo. Westinghouse used a Dynamo of AC. later it is implemented by Tesla.

Voyage is 415v 3 phase. Or 240v single phase . This is as per Indian standard. Long back there were different voltages. But that’s history. Many European countries follow 380v 3 phase . That means 220 v single phase. UK follows different standard. Now they are working at unification so these variations will be ironed out over a period of time
