It should all be merit based. DEI is a productivity killer. As for government, they need to stick to their mandate and f off with interfering in every aspect of our lives. Great video

We praise the food critic with a discriminating palate because we know that he has done a great deal of comparison through his experiences, and we don't think anything of it. Discrimination/judgment is one of the first things we learn as a human being. It's how we come to the knowledge of who we are and that we are separate from our mother. We do it by observing differences. 🧡

@@AlasBabylon1 Very good points. Society likes to treat discrimination like it is some dirty word, when it is actually the most natural of things to do. I imagine that for early humans, the ability to discriminate was a matter of survival. Only in today's upside down society can people, companies and governments be praised for making dumb, self harming decisions.

I know we all were taught not to judge a book by its cover, but people also intentionally present themselves a certain way through clothes, their walk, their attitude, the look in their face, etc. in order to convey something about themselves to the world. As a woman, I’ve had to be VERY discriminatory about who I’m near in a parking garage or who I’ve let near me at past jobs. Safety depends on it. Especially now that I’ve got kids. If someone’s acting weird or has intentionally presented themselves in an intimidating manner, it’s my job to keep my kids safe and stay away from that person. I can find out they’re the sweetest person in the world another time when it’s appropriate. Until then, this mama’s discriminating left and right. Go away! 😂

@@miscellaneousme Absolutely. Safety is paramount. If someone is a danger to yourself or others, that needs to be recognized immediately. Good post.

I think that is well said by not discriminating like you said you will learn to discriminate at least eventually and it just makes sense not everybody can be a rocket scientist and not everybody can dig ditches

@@zombillaicecream1099 For sure. Pretending that everybody is capable of doing anything does not make it so.

Discrimination is nothing more than making a choice, and every living thing makes choices. All of this DEI, ESG... is nothing more than communism under a different name.
