​@@LifewithBose Totally wrong information. Panja word in Bengali language made panjabi. Punjabi mean full sleeve Fotua. It reaches till panja (Palm of hand) that's why its called Punjabi not Punjabi.

Our cultures and language are similar. Both Ahom and Bengali were derived from Prakrit in the end. I hope and wish that Ahomiya and Bengali people get along more than what it is currently because we share so much culture among ourselves

When Ahom came to our land, than the word Assam and Assamese started to exist. Initially it was Kamarupa, then Pragjyotishpur then today's Assam. And Ahom language and cults are totally different from Assamese

Even our ancient telugu people used to wear similar clothes❤. Even now some people wear these type of unstitched panche and kanduva for marriages and ceremonies, festivals. Since 3 decades the fashion of Punjabi dresses became prevalent in our telugu states. Until 1995-2000's unmarried young woman used to wear langa voni, parikini for daily use and married women used to wear sarees. Panche and kanduva were worn as daily use by men until 80's then came nikkers, half and full pants for them.

Even we Odias traditionally call Kurtas as Pathani/Punjabi, as Muslims are called Pathana in Odia. Hindi/Urdu is traditionally called Pathana bhasa/bolana in Odia. Plus, we would love to see you trying a traditional Odia style Dhoti drape.

They are not mughal fashion but rajputs dress. Akbar decided to wear local clothes as part of his diplomacy to win over rajputs. Before and after akbar, mughals again started wearing persian and turkic clothes, like shahjahan, Aurangzeb bahadur shah zafar. As far as i know what you showed as mughal clothes is a rajputi style dress called churidar (i may be wrong). These clothes are present in 2nd century carvings. Pajamas were also worn by rajputs.

Could you explain why stiched garments are impure? Then how will a woman wear a saree blouse if its not stiched? Sita is often shown as wearing a saree and a blouse in most paintings.
