I have so much respect for bisping. I hated him when I was younger but understanding the guy always fought clean against the most dangerous middleweights who for the most part were on rocket fuel. He won a world title with one eye and fought the best of his era. Never turned down a fight that I know of so to me the guy is in my top 10 of all time.

I crushed Henderson one time in training, no one knows about me. But there were lots of ufc fighters during early mid 2000s I regularly smoked in training and sparring. I’m a 41-6 kickboxer, fought in K-1 most of my career, these dudes couldn’t hang with me 90% of them were sloppy wrestle/boxers with overhand rights. You avoid that and it’s easy pickings.

Hendo is one of the nicest guys I have ever dealt with in the sport. Living in Vegas for a few years and coaching boxing back in the aughts, I would run into atleast several UFC guys a day, whether in the gym or at the Lucky's supermarket or the casino restaurants. Ax Murderer Silva is my favorite guy, he really helped me out when I needed a gig and is beyond just a great guy. Hendo on the other hand was a great family man who never got caught up in the bullshit or degeneracy. If you saw him he was with his family or training, that is it. Bisping everybody hated, there was no one else like it. He was pretty much universally thought of as a jagoff that nobody wanted anything to do with

As I've got older, I've realised that just because someone comes across as a "nice guy" or "easily to get along with" might seem to be someone to want to know superficially. These are just personality traits. But for me, real morals come from your actions. Especially actions when things are going hard, and sticking to those morals. One of my other favorite guys to party and hang with was Jon "Warmachine" Kopenhaver. Really good dude whom i liked but had a wicked temper. Youre not wrong, good charisma and charm with a flawed moral character can be a nightmare. Hendo is a good guy though as was Evan Tanner and Silva. Certain guys would go out of their way to help others out and treated fans well so I guess that counts as actions. But again, you are right

Bisping dodged Romero for over a year, got a bullshit win against both Silva & Matt Hamill (because it was in London), got beat by a 4 years retired GSP (who had a severe stomach condition at the time he almost had to pull out of the fight for) and got KOed by a middle-carder. Men get low T naturally, in fact once they are in their late 20’s it’s going down. Hendo is almost 10 years older than Michael. So really TRT put them at equal T levels.

I'm not sure there's a fighter more well liked at the end of their career after being so disliked early on. And it's not like he acted any differently. I just think the fans got to know him better. I remember his dad saying Americans didn't get British humor and I remember thinking what? He's talking shit, something we as Americans are all too familiar with. Also I remember Vitor saying that TRT being banned was unfair more or less because it kept him from being able to compete and make a living. I was like is this dude fucking serious? He owned Bisping, who (honestly, may be a great commentator now), was an insufferable coward then, who spent a career running from opponents in big fights, against far superior competition, & was favored by Judges as a UFC European Milk Cow & media Donkey, who honestly was the worst part of the UFC back then. The only PPVs I ever regretted purchasing for the UFC , were always & inevitably any that was Bisping post 2010.

Henderson assaulted a KO'd man because he hurt his feelings with words. Then he went on to use that as his logo because he was so proud of that fact. I get it, Americans don't or at least didn't get banter before the days of XboxLive (in my experience).
