My first time bathing a street cat that we adopt was changing but I followed the step by step video of yours I used the cup and bath him and he didn’t scratch me to death like the other cat I used to bath with the running water 👍

It's worth checking out the previous videos about training cats to tolerate or even enjoy health related activities! There's bathing, nail trims and brushing teeth. My personal favorite is still the ping pong video. Because it helped me come up with ways to play with my 14 year old with arthritis. She's SO much happier. I can't thank you enough for that video!!!

We bathed our boys recently to help them shed out the last bit of their winter coats as the summer heat hits (and to cut down on the sheer amount of fur left behind when they jump up on desks). Despite clearly not enjoying the experience, they actually accepted it quite well. Minimal fussing, no real struggles, just attempts to climb out (once or twice an attempt over a shoulder). It did make me wish for a pet safe blow dryer though. One of our boys has a thick double layered coat that took the rest of the day to dry fully. Finally tucked him up in a box with a blanket and some heat pads (made sure they wouldn't burn him) so he had a little hot box to nap in and warm up before he gave himself a very thorough grooming when he was ready. Thankfully its not something we should have to do regularly, just once, maybe a twice a year barring emergencies/accidents.

I have a Turkish Angora. He’s weary when I wash his bowls before feeding him when I gently run the tap. He (Chip) had been ‘digging’ in a neighbours garden one late evening and came home covered in soil. I had no choice but to run the bath with luke warm water only, to about his belly height. He struggled and cried when I lowered him in. I was extremely careful and gentle with him and I successfully got him clean. Poor wee soul looked like a wee porcupine/gremlin, it was so funny to see him wet in this way ! I very gently dried him with a bath towel. He didn’t seem to mind and he really tolerated it. But, he’s still a bit weary when I wash his bowls whenever it’s feeding time bless him ❤

I don’t know if you will see this but I would love to see another video about raw feeding. Do you prep meals ahead? If so whats your prep process? How do you plan out your ingredients? Do you order your ingredients, go to a butcher? I personally struggle making and planing out homemade raw meals
@TheCatButler5 ай бұрын
Hey I do plan to do a video about how I prep my meals soon! I am aiming for sometime in the fall. I do prep my meals for a two week period and I prep in a way so it’s efficient and the meats are not out long. Ingredients are chosen already and I buy straight from farms and a local grocery delivery. Hope that helps for now

Oooh the treats floating in a bowl in the bathtub is genius! We tried the toy robot fishies you showed in one of your other how to bathe your cat videos, and our cat Pancake just ignored those and ended up drinking the water 🙈

Hey Cat Butler, I just have a few questions and it would be awesome if you could answer them if you can of course! FYI: I have never owned a cat before and would love to get two ragdolls when I feel i'm ready. 1) I'm worried if I get a cat, it may ruin some of my furniture. What are some ways of avoiding this and is it common? 2) Have Teemo and Arya ever done their business outside of the litter box? If so what are the causes of this and how can I prevent it from happening? 3) What are some ways I could help make the transition of my future kittens into their new home a lot smoother and happier. I understand you if you can't answer them all so don't worry if you can't. Thank you!! 😊

Hey I'm not Cat Butler, but I'm a first time cat owner and was worried about the same things and I think I can help you a bit :) Cats will ruin furniture mostly by either scratching or peeing/spraying. They do this to mark their territory. The solution is actually pretty simple, you need to provide your cats with cat scratchers and cat beds or cat towers in pretty much every room they have access to. Don't punish your kittens if they make a mistake, they will be able to understand that you're angry or sad but they can't make the connection that their behaviour is what made you angry/sad. For example, if your cat scratches on your bookcase, lift up the cat gently and place your cat on a cat scratcher. Then scratch the scratcher with your nails to show your cat that she is allowed to scratch there. She will most likely watch you and start scratching the scratcher. By having cat Scratchers in her room she can follow her instincts and mark her territory visually. She will also most likely rub her body against the scratcher to transfer her scent on it. By rubbing herself against cat beds (or cat towere) or lying on them, those things will also collect the cats scent. This way she won't feel the need to pee or spray anywhere outside of the litterbox. Cats are actually very clean animals, and most likely won't pee or poop outside the litter box. Cats being stressed or anxious or cats that don't feel confident in their territory are likely to do their business outside the litter box. By having Cat Towers, Scratchers and Cat Beds to mark their territory, you will raise a confident cat that won't feel the need to do their business outside the litter box. Also, not having your cats spayed/neutered will often lead to bad behaviour like you mentioned, and will generally make their life much more stressfull (I think actually each time a female cat goes into heat, her chance to get ovarian cancer increase 10×). I think you don't have to worry too much about transitioning your cats, but I recommend that you just give them time to explore the new space for themselves. Instead of hugging or petting them a lot right from the beginning, build a positive relationship and trust by playing with them a lot and handfeeding them. They will very quickly come to love you and ask for lots of cuddles and attention constantly from their side. Sometimes cats can also do bad behaviours because they are bored or frustrated because they built up too much energy, but this can be completely avoided by playing with them at least 2 times a day. I was worried about the exact same things as you a lot, I didn't even have time to prepare myself because I found a stray kitten and took her in without any cat experience. I thought she might have difficulties with potty training or destroying my things because of her background, but to my surprise she never had an accident outside the litter box and also never touched my things, only her scratchers. I truly think getting rid of excess energy by playing and giving her scratchers and beds in each room to rub her scent on have led to her being such a well behaved kitten right from the start. It was always my dream to have ragdolls, I might get one or two in the future as a friend for my stray kitten. I'm sure you will be able to give your future cats a great life and they will love you a lot, good luck!

Some wild cats are great swimmers and love being in the water. I've known some cats who love water but others, not so much. All cats have their own personalities just like people. No two cats are the same. 😊

I wanted to let u know our blue Lynx male kitten from your breeder arrives on July 30th. We are soooo excited. 🐾😺🐈⬛ If you want a video 📹 of him for your show, we would do that for you. 🥰 Thank you 4 your help with your breeder. We wanted the same eyes as your gorgeous kittens. 😺🐾🐈⬛💙 Escrow will meet his new sister Elsa, our seal chocolate color point female, on July 30. Watching your show made us want to buy 2 ragdolls.
