I had a wonderful devon rex that lived a long happy life. She was the most remarkable cat I ever came across. Talk about acrobatic, wow, amazing. I miss her so much. If I was to ever get a cat again, it would be a devon. I can't believe it's the fifth most popular breed. That really surprised me.

This was very helpful. I opted not to get pet insurance for Austen and Jasper because Siamese are a healthy and long lived breed. My Senior Siamese Matthew lived almost to 22! You did inspire me to check into it for their Dachshund baby sister Hildy, who had an ultrasound (no major findings) and an emergency visit as well this year. Dude please help me, my 6 months old female cat got spayed yesterday, but since I put her the cone she hasn't wanted to eat. She hasn't eaten or drunk water for nearly 40 hours now and I'm getting worried. Should I opt to take off the plastic cone and instead wrap her with a bandage for her to prevent remove her stitches? Any tips on getting hair out of a cats eyes? My little girl always gets hairs and debris in her eyes. I’ve taken her to the vet in the past when her eye was irritated but they said it was likely already clearing up and whatever it was came out on its own. I've had her since she was a kitten, and for the first 3 or 4 years, she was pretty good about it. Now, at age 8, she's freakin' horrible. Major annoyance. My cat refuses to eat chicken liver and lamb kidney. I have not been able to find any other kidney at stores near me. I think it’s the texture she doesn’t like. I’m trying to feed her dried chicken liver now in her wet food. I alternate between raw and wet food. She eats wild sockeye salmon and shrimp. She’ll eat pretty much everything but the “slimy” texture food like kidney or liver. Is there a substitute?
