To be noted that, although hybrid sayians don't have the same violent nature as purebloods, they do tend to get more and more aggressive as they power up. Notice how Beast Gohan seems way colder and more bloodlusted than he normally is. Even going as far as to smile at Cell's giant ball of energy, out of sheer excitement for a strong opponent, just like a pureblood would feel.

Saiyans suppress their emotions, yet get HUGE power when they actually allow them to come out. Like Rage, it brought them their first transformations and we've seen countless moments where a Saiyan rages and gets a massive power boost. Humans are more in touch with their emotions, so Hybrids can access more power through rage. It also makes sense with Broly, who arguably has some mental condition like Autism. Unable to control his emotions like normal and it spirals out if control just like his power.

If you think about it, hybrids in the real world often work this way. For example, a liger is both bigger and more powerful than either of it's parents. And because they only exist within zoo or sanctuary settings, they have less of a need to be aggressive since they aren't fighting to survive. Another example is a Pizzly, a polar bear and grizzly hybrid. They take the best attributes from both parents which ends up creating an even more successful offspring. It seems that this is also the case in the Saiyan hybrids of Universe 7.

Yeah we know the real reason is Tori just didn't like drawing them so he didn't. Would've made a lot more sense if he said something like if a tail is removed at a certain age it won't grow back or something. Vegeta's never grew back and Goku's stopped after he was 14. It'd make sense of hybrids had a younger cutoff date (no pun intended) since Gohan's stopped growing back after the saiyan arc when he was 5.

In genetics, theres also something called Hybrid vigour or Heterosis. This is when an offspring of hybrids exhibits traits greater than both parents. An example of this is Ligers, but theres many more instances where this happens (eg, some large dog species). But its not a common or guaranteed trait, however, between certain species, it is pretty common. Saiyans and Humans in the DBZ universe may have this kind of compatibility.

My theory has always been that humans have a naturally much wider emotional range than Saiyans do, which allows them to tap into the intense emotions necessary to grow by leaps and bounds, much easier. Saiyans by default seem to only really care about one's individual strength, lacking an innate care for relationships and thus lack an inclination to fight or grow for any purpose other than their own selfishness. We see in the case of Gohan that his power spikes exponentially when he is enraged, but ESPECIALLY when he has been enraged on behalf of somebody else. This isn't as much a Gohan exclusive thing as it used to be as we even see Vegeta do it in Battle of Gods. When Beerus hits Bulma, Vegeta's rage on her behalf and desire to protect his wife causes his power to skyrocket to a point that he surpasses even ssj3 Goku, which should've been a 4x gap at the bare minimum. Saiyan hybrids are just much more in tune with their emotions and thus are able to tap into deeper reserves of power and grow much quicker whenever those emotions are triggered.

That isn't always a good thing; It's not that it has improved growth rate, stress tolerance, biomass, and the fertility thing is 50/50 since most hybrids CAN'T BREED. The increased growth rate is because the DNA has no idea what the fuck is going on and growth LIMITERS get destroyed or hidden in the process. Biomass comes from that but it's not always a good thing because their organs CANNOT keep up. Stress Tolerance comes from the fact they're a living cancer

It might be to do with the aging of humans and saiyans. Humans age faster than saiyans and therefore have more potential the more they age. With saiyans preserving their youth until a very old age probably means it preserves their potential power too. Like how Granolah’s life span got reduced to a few hears because he wanted the potential he would gain after aging. In Granolah’s case, he put his lifespan and potential into a few years.

I think it may have to do with their Human DNA giving these Hybrid Saiyans larger gaps in power that Pure Blooded Saiyans simply don’t possess. Even as powerful as they are capable of becoming, they lack the fighting drive of Pure Blooded Saiyans, so even if they could surpass them, it wouldn’t take long for the Hybrids to focus more on their own lives over the Pure Bloods never ending desire to gain further strength.

I think it's important to note that even a pure Saiyan can have plenty of fun heroing- that's basically what Goku does. He still absolutely indulges in the natural urge to fight, he just channels it in a productive, helpful direction.

However the difference is how a hero ACTS, Goku does protect Earth but it’s mostly from the fact that it’s his home and every friend he’s ever made lives on it, however, you won’t find him actively saving the day all the time like a regular superhero that you see in regular fiction. If there’s a challenge to find, you bet your ass he’ll accept it.

@@tubax926 Yeah, despite being some of the two most interesting characters in the show, since we've seen pretty much none of their potential since Z, they're both the only two main characters to master fusion to such an extent they can do it on a whim with no practice (Minus uhh, SH), but their fusion is also one of the only two characters to ever go super saiyan 3, and yet they've just never been relevant for a single episode of super, they got immediately bodied by Beerus (Though that's no surprise), they played literally no part in the Future Trunks/goku black arc, I don't think they even showed up in the few tournament sagas, and then they got flat-out rejected from going to the tournament of power. Humans aren’t complete weaklings. They have some potential to perform incredible feats. Krillen, Yamcha, Tien, and Roshi could blow up the moon before Z. Early Z they could reach a power level over 1000 and go higher than that if they train in weighted clothes or in high gravity. If the vast majority of the human race were to dedicate their time to pushing their limits, they wouldn’t be relative to saiyans, but definitely not a bunch of single-triple digit power levels. If they are inhanced with technology they can be stronger than Super Saiyans. Human potential plus saiyan potential equals a hybrid that can pretty much do anything if they put their minds to it.

Let’s not forget that the missing tail isn’t a plot point. It’s simply that they forgot to draw the tail on the kids. Once they realized, they just went ahead and left out the tail from then on. Gohan was born with a tail. There’s no reason the other hybrids wouldn’t also have tails. In fact, if I remember correctly, one of the characters mentioned preemptively cutting off the tails of the kids after Gohan.

Gohan achieved Super Saiyan from the feeling of disappointment of himself of assuming he wasn't producing sufficient results from training assuming he didn't meet his father's expectations, as goku called for a break, Gohan conceded but felt depressed, and immediately started shouting that familiar Saiyan shout, this is reminiscent of that time Vegeta gave up on his pride on that barren planet and achieved super Saiyan. Basically it's having rage over loss of something intrinsically of value to said person. For goten it's similar when sparring with his mom, he lost momentarily as he was thrown aback, though this wouldn't really occur for pure blooded Saiyans as the hurdle is much greater, but for human Saiyan hybrids it's very simple. Future trunks got it from seeing his Gohan's corpse, knowing he was unalived by future androids, loss of his brother figure caused him to rage. Goku experienced the loss of krillin's life at the hands of Frieza, which brought about his legendary transformation. One must experience loss, give up on by raging out, this disturbance in the heart will trigger the transform. But I remember a, certain toriyama talk on S-Cells (Saiyan cells), produce a high amount to trigger this chain reaction, train your body rigorously, live a peaceful life in peaceful environment to hone the soul and heart, that is to promote the building of that value that will be one day sacrificed via the plot of the story to trigger the transformation. Saiyans are in general usually heartless and not very emotional ot altruistic, barbaric anger inducing and easily enraged, hindering this process to much. Humans are beings of emotions, human nature is a perfect catalyst for Saiyan transformation at any age.
