I typically don't comment but I've been watching for a good while now. These videos have been a part of my routine for a while, particularly on Fridays now with your upload schedule. I imagine others will echo the sentiment that there's a simplicity and sense of comfort with these videos that keeps me coming back. It's the format, it's the stories, it's the wacky hair. I kid on the hair, but you're the Bob Ross of shaving in more ways than one my friend. I think he'd find a real kinship in the way you do things on this channel. Keep on keeping on brother, we'll be here.

Well you where one of the first wet shaving youtubers I watched when I first started. My first safety razor was the dollar tree butterfly razor. Now I have a largely vintage collection of safety razors and about four solid aftershaves. My favorite shaving cream is of course is Barbasol. Love ya videos! 😊

Hi Brian, as the first comment says, I’ve been watching you for a while now, a couple of years, and well… In the beginning I was amazed for all the shaving stuff, the hype and the classic shaving hehe, now, I only shave once a week and I don’t even give a crap anymore about what I shave with (disposables, cartridges, electrics, safety, de, se, straight, even the hair-cutting machine I use every week for cutting my hair myself haha), but I don’t mind it, I just enjoy sooo much your videos, you are an incredible person Brian, you’re always happy, positive, and enjoy taking a talk with all of us!!! I have psoriasis around my lips, both sides of the nose and brows. Tried everything topical and nothing gets rid of it. It's the reason I have to shave. If I don't, it becomes so flaky and itchy I cannot stand it. Shaving and scraping the skin clean keeps it manageable. If I shave every day, it won't pop up, if I shave every 3rd day, the redness comes back and on the 4-5th day, the flakes comeback.

At first, I was confused by the term "wet shaving" - believing it referred to DE razors only and DIY later with a brush. At nearly 70, I've never heard it called that. Strange isn't it? Always said "I shave with foam and a razor". Turns out I've been wet shaving my entire life - just not with a DE razor. I've used a Gillette Trac II since it first came out in '71 and later converted to the "plus" blades with the lubricant strip. Before that, like '68 or so when I first sprouted (giggle) I had one of those comb looking safety razors. Admittedly, I've hated shaving forever because I sliced myself up - until they came out with Aloe creams (Edge Gel) and I took to putting an extra layer of pure aloe gel down over a wet face before applying shaving cream. Once in awhile I'd walk into the office with patches of tissue still on a cut - forgetting to check myself in the rear view mirror and peel them off. I've wondered why your videos appeal to me and just recently figured out why - it reminds me of my dad, who taught me to shave - by observation - me sitting on the side of the tub and learning to make faces like he did - using his tongue to push out the corners of his mouth - blowing up his cheek - stretching his neck. Funny how even now, watching you, I find myself imitating as if shaving myself. You've encouraged me to try a DE again and I have - along with getting a rotary electric to knock down the stubble when I let it go for a week. For the first time I can remember in decades, I've enjoyed shaving again - choosing from an small assortment of razors based on what I need and how I feel. The Edge Gel still works well for me. And still Afta Original aftershave cream - because in the day I was slicing myself up, I disliked Aqua Velva. I prefer coffee to wake up gradually, pleasantly, over scorching my face with pure alcohol. I've been enjoying the Parker blades through a couple different Weishi butterfly razors. I'm sure to buy and try more in the future. Thanks for the reminder of watching / learning from my dad. ;^) Jack

We finally got Cremo some time ago in Denmark i bought all the different products apart from the hair product you use, i love watching your videos, so great to watch great shaves, oh back when i saw my fathers DE before he went to electric razor with the rotating heads i was scared to smithereens i tried it at age 16 put the angle too 90 degree pressed OUCH put it back in its place after bring all raw thinking NEVER again, until 2016 i stumpled upon some old guy i forgot how he was looked everywhere anyway converted to DE SE heck do it all i switch between what i shave with 😁 anyways stay safe, cheers....Peter from Denmark

I remember messing around with my moms safety razor when I was a kid and received the most painful cut I’ve ever experienced in my life. I remember wondering why anyone would use those death sticks even back then. Fast forward 35 years and I had come across one of your videos, along with a few others, and I went out and got some cheapy one at Walmart and have been using one since. I’ve had a beard for the last several years and never really needed to spend a lot on shaving or gave it much thought other than what razor was on sale or what they carry at Costco. Long story short…I enjoy your videos. Very informative and honestly I wish there were videos like these when I was a teen learning to shave (raised by a single mother). I look forward to shaving now. I enjoy the ritual of it all…the self care. Keep it up. I’m sure tons of men/folks learning to shave appreciate as much as I do

Speaking of ‘o brother where art thou’ and on the same thread of famous people being good, I live 8 miles from George Clooney’s hometown of Augusta KY. His father Nick still lives full time there and is a wonderfully polite man if you ever run into him. George and his wife still come back to visit a few times every year and are incredibly approachable as I always see friends from that area posting pictures with them on social media. His aunt, the famous Rosemary Clooney, also called Augusta home until she passed away, and her home has been preserved as a state historic site.

I needed something cooling that wasn't a gel because I hate how they feel.
