So I had a very bad round slicing my driver. I watched this & practiced at the range with about 100 balls. Played today - 8 of 9 drives on fairway. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I hit 10 x driver today after watching this and everyone was straight down the middle. After always struggling with a slice, this was such a nice change. Slowed my swing down and was still getting distance. Great tips. Thanks

So, I tried this out on the range before a round and it was instant positive feedback. I hit center fairway on my first five holes! Later on I lost some mechanics and had to bag the driver for a long iron. Turns out I was rolling my wrists in my initial backswing. As soon as I started taking it back as one piece…the bombs came back! Now I need to work on increasing my speed with this new confidence in my swing!

Cant wait to try this out. Lately I have shot the entire course with irons and have lower scores. Would love to get some confidence with the driver.

My setup good. Stance good swing good. Shallow club to create lag but had problems closing my club face till I discovered the wrist movement

I started following and I do like your style. Excuse if I am wrong you follow all steps but if you don't rotate wrist to close face it will still slice

Hi todd. I'm 60 now but back maybe 7-8 yrs ago I bought a program from you (I think prior to you joining Golf TV) about the slice with driver. It was great but I went back recently... long story... to watch it because of issues and the link no longer works. Is that program still available? I remember there being 3-4 drills that were great. Thanks

Love it, Todd! Maybe a little off topic, but where can I find a good net for my backyard? I love that one! I'd be setting it up outside during the Winter here in NY. Thanks!

Great video thank you. What is the benefit of hovering the club behind the ball out of interest?
@USGOLFTVshow4 жыл бұрын
Good question, it helps with tempo and balance. When you hold the weight of the club in your hands vs letting it rest on the ground, we have found it smooths out that takeaway and transition....give it a try! 👊

@@USGOLFTVshow thanks a lot that makes a lot of sense. Will do that next time I'm at the range! Keep up the super work 💪👏

Could you do a how to hit with a club too big for you please?

Hey Tod should I be aiming at the inside back of the ball like about 7:00 position? Thanks
@USGOLFTVshow4 жыл бұрын
We do have some students who focus on the inside of the ball, not a bad idea...up to you....hope that info is helping you game. 👍

Are you opening the club face slightly?

Every time I lower my shoulder I pop the ball higher than a pitching wedge and it lands 25 yards away...Everything I try doesn't seem to work.

Kevin, check your ball position and make sure it is not too far back. Also try this kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqmQeWekqbKWfdU

With the driver, is the ball position left heal?
@USGOLFTVshow4 жыл бұрын
We always start with the lead heal as a general guide and work off that. If you need more accuracy, move it back slightly, if you need more distance, move it up slightly 👊
@michaelstjohn26174 жыл бұрын
Todd, when u close ur stance somewhat, do u also have to move the ball more towards your trail foot, otherwise it seems too far forward. Thanks
@USGOLFTVshow4 жыл бұрын
Great question! That is not something that was mentioned, however you can move it back slightly, just be sure not to over do it as it will negate the rightward aim...hope that helps 👊

The way 'hovering' the driver was explained to me is that if you put the head on the ground when you line up your shot, when you lift the driver it's actually swinging out/away from you, which moves the ball from center towards the hosel and away from the sweet spot.
@annefilippobertozzi76014 жыл бұрын
Correct. If you are not used to hover the driver, you can always set it on the ground with the ball more on the toe: that should get the same result of center strike.
@USGOLFTVshow4 жыл бұрын
Good question, you want to hover the club yet have the ball centered on the face, make sense?
@gordonmaclean59043 жыл бұрын
Great video but your live view face on is cut off by the box of balls so you cannot see the head of the driver from that view. Just a tip. Thanks Gord
