It has a very high positive WR difference for a reason - troll mobility when using a turbo, usable armor with 10 degs depression, and the gun is more like a high dpm medium than a clipper. But if it doesn’t fit your playstyle then you won’t like it.

I love this weird thing. At the start of a match, there's something very funny about driving faster in reverse than your teammates can going forwards. I don't know about other people but not every premium tank is everything to me. That is, some I play for money. Some I play for wins. This is a tank I play when I need wins or kills in a game or some other damage based objective. When I want cash, I just waddle around the battlefield in my Lowe, grunting and breaking wind as I pick apart my foes with my laser-like accuracy and near 300 pen.

The real advantage of this tank is its Effective Damage per Minute - When it’s clipping it has the the same effective DPM of a maxed out K-91: 4800 DPM And while you aren’t going to destroy a tank fast, like normal autoloaders, you will always get two shots in for every 1 they get, and you will always have enough shells to clip most tier 8’s you meet. Combine that with troll mobility, and decent-ish armor, I’m not surprised it performs well and that people enjoy playing it.

This tank is a great support medium. It is tiny and plays well with others. Use the fast reverse/traverse speed to help heavies and other mediums and you will instantly start to like this tank.

Remember that the gold round has an insane penetration drop-off. At 500m I think it's less than standard round

The Key to this Tank is it's Mobility more than anything Else... It's the Fastest Reversing Tank in the Game, and with a Turbo, it's 33kph, 07 RH is the next one Behind it if I recall... I have yet to put any of the Bounty/Bond/Experimental Equipment on it, but it's good for Hunting Lights, TD's, and generally Drawing the Red Team Out while you Back around a Corner Faster than alot of Tanks go Forward... It's also KINDA Map Dependent because of it's Size and that Size of that Tumor on the Roof.... Turbo, Vents and Optics on the Astron currently, No Field Mods, and Vents, Optics, exhaust on the Alembic, also No Field Mods... The 52 kph without a Turbo and 57kph with is OK'ish Forward, but there are Faster Tanks in this Regard... I have not yet Considered Exp Equipment like Fire Control or Mobility because these have been Working so far Fairly Well....

I find this tank to be one of the best in the game. I'm averaging over 2300 damage with 3 marks on the barrel. Double track with gold and it will kill just about any tier 8 tank from full hp. I average the same damage per game in this as the Bourasque, the only tier 8 I do better with is the GSOR 1008 at 2650 damage.

8:15 to be fair, if he loads HE he can deal some nice damage, since the tanks trying to drive through that area are always lights or paper mediums though after that initial shot, I would definitely head to the heavy flank

This thing is overly sensitive in turning, very twitchy, but it is a great yolo specialist especially end game, if you can survive that long. Just make sure you are giving the opponent a prostate exam or you will miss!

I got so annoyed with the gun on the rex, that I started playing like a support heavy, vents, hardening, and IAU, I would go with the heavies, and just try to get 2 or 3 shots into an enemy once they fired, or flank around to try to get them to turn to give our heavies an opening, it worked oddly well, managed to 3 mark it eventually, probably would have been quicker if I used some gold ammo though.

I personally like ASTRON Rex because it's a bouncy medium with 5 round autoloader that works like a T54 mod1 with a tumor. You don't need to spit gold if you go in melee and target weak spots and it turns around quickly enough to shoot weak points. In general, you can out-dpm most enemies with that clip, and scurry away. But it's like Grom, you're supposed to go in melee, even though you're super weak in melee... weird playstyle.

I dont see the low pen as too big of a problem as i tend to sneak around almost as a light tank and take shots at enemy mediums and lights. This tank is kind of similar to burrasque. Less camo more armor. More shots longer intraclip. Similar strategys. Most people dont shoot at the cupola if they are not expecting you. They will snap a shot in to the turret and bounce. Some shots do find the cupola. Still a good tank, not as good as burrasque, but close.

Alembic is much better version of the tank, it has the same stats, but the Alembic has a alchemical laboratory, more like the tank itself is alchemical laboratory and it produces 20 gold per day, just by having it in the garage.

i did not like this tank at first, but i gave it the benefit of the doubt and found i played it wrong, i adjusted my play a little and now i actually perform quit decent in it and i do not dislike it, i think it is a ok/good tank if you play it right, if you do not it is a horrible tank that punish you, it never be a favorit of mine, but i do find it to be fun.

this tank could have been a great allrounder, if it wasnt for the insane tumor on the head... its basically an ELC appearing on the ridgeline before the turret with the gun comes over and deals damage..... it kills the tank...

I had it from some loot box las year, I play it a lot, and hate it a lot, don't know why some streamers say is a great tank, it has no armor, you have to spam gold, the intraclip reload is too long. Later on I trade it for a Somua SM, the best decision ever made.

I love this tank although the regular ammo is meh haha. This tank can I clip tier 7 and tier 8. If you want a damage tank this is it.

IMO, I think the tank is good, and you're being just a tiny bit harsh.. Very good on 1 vs 1s with his clip potential even though he will take some shots. It has some carry potential. The armor is trollish. If you're blessed with a good MM (like T VI) you can realy dominate. I carry 2 standard rounds magazines and usually I do good like that.

yea got this tank from the almighty gambling lootboxes and I understand its a good tank like a fat tier 8 char but and, i mean but, you got 30 shots.
