So I’ve decided to live alone near nature if I am able to live until old. When I die, at least I can decompose and become food for scavengers. No sentiment. I’d love to be forgotten.

That's so sad, in today's world we are losing the sense of community, taking care of each other as a community, we are becoming more materialistic and egomaniac because of which we are pulling away from our loved ones.

It happens in the united states as well. People like myself with no living family. I'm the end of my bloodline with no children. I will probably die lone, but that does not cause me concern or stress. I look at it this way...I will live until I die.

@@davidharrow9025 no. They died years ago. As I said, I'm the last. Both sides of the family dies with me. But its ok. Yes holidays aren't great, but I have my church and wonderful neighbors. And as I've said many times in my life, I never ever regretted not having kids. This is the life I choose. I kind of knew this would eventually happen, but I'm emotionally ready for it.

I remember seeing a wall mounted device that make you input a code everyday to make sure you're alive. If a was not input, the device will first sound alarm and then will call emergency numbers. Can't remember what the device was called.

Death is death - lonely or not.

In Korea, the number of lonely deaths has also increased by an average of 8.8% per year for five years since 2017. Divorce or separation accounted for half of the cases, and suicide was the most common cause of death, followed by addiction and suffocation. However, about 63% were found to have died of acute alcoholism and chronic alcoholism, so they feel that mutual organic and social measures against loneliness and alcohol disorders are necessary.

Dying alone is the most honorable thing to do but unfortunately not too many have the privilege to enjoy it. I am sure we all had many occasions when we actually witnessed people dying in front of us and many of them were our loved ones. These scenes never went away and by dying alone, at least it leaves behind fond and not heart breaking memories for those who carry on. The last drop in life and the struggle to cling on to it is sad and frightening and the experience of holding the hand of a dying person until the last drop is gone stays on forever.

Those who left earlier are the lucky ones as their love ones and friends are stll around. That is the reward for living too long good folks, you are lonely with others all gone, all kind of sickness is with you and nobody to talk with but had memories way back then when you were young and pictures. Do you want to live foreever in this case? Assisted living is for those who could afford.

I knew a woman in Saint Peters Adelaide whom lived in the front home . Her name was Edna. I moved away but stayed in contact as I could. I missed her call when she died. I ended up at her home somehow. EDNA had a fat inside black and white cat unfriendly to strangers whom liked hiding under her bed. From outside the unit I smelt death. Edna died in hospital . I believe the hiding cat wasnt saved.77

Childless, single and die alone. Either die of old age sickness or starvation because lack of savings. Savings usually use up when you are old and unemployed for a long time. Who will employ sick and old people past retirement age? That is the hard truth and a taboo subject in industrialized Singapore. Oh, by the way, anyone of you can be my friend?

What I'm about to say may not be directly related to the actual video topic. But I'm disappointed by the topic title. The use of the word "lonely" just to catch a little attention, or just to add a little "impact". Death is always going to be lonely. Whether or not you have any friends or families. When a person is about to leave our world, he or she is alone in spiritual and mental. This is a natural fact and many people need to know and accept this fact. Don't let it become a fear and control you. Everywhere the society is telling people that it's "bad" to live and die alone. Hence the MAJORITY likes to have the idea of getting married and have a family even before they even understand what it is all about. (Look what it is doing to our society) Alone and being lonely are 2 different things. The topic title should be saying that there are people dying in their homes without people knowing. As a news channel, you guys should be careful about what you typed.

Thanks for the video. I am 62 and I have no wife or kids. I live in the USA and understand why people die alone. If I did not call others, no one would know if I am dead or alive. I wonder if I will die alone but I guess it does not matter because we all have to dine one day. I think the lucky ones are those who die before their health goes. My Mom ,90, fell and broke her arm and she laid on the floor all day before she called my brother. She did not call the police because she did not want to pay for the rescue squad. It is sad to grow old and not able to take care of yourself and no one to help you.

Its good this topic is being talked about. But Singapore is still way behind in recognizing there is a huge problem. Look at what the lady said at few minutes into video. The host asked her: "By living alone, these people would become isolated, reclused?" And the lady replied "Possible ", "it could lead to that". 🙄 What does she mean it's possible, it could be?! It's happening, been happening for decades, and it's gotten to be a big problem! With that mind set (that woman's), its already showing how behind we are. Take Japan as an example. The government has been taking "Hihikomori" very seriously. They know it's not only "possible" to be become isolated/reclused from the outside world, it IS happening. There are too too many of these cases where loners were found dead alone, living in a hoarded condition. In 2019, Japan, the stats are: 2996 individuals were found dead by themselves. 1431 of those people were found within 3 days 1183 found within a month, 382 were not found for over a month. Is it only happening in Japan?? Of course not! Seeing those numbers, that's why it's a piss off seeing/hearing this lady (who's supposed to help) say things like that. "It's possible, or it could lead to that". As if it's not already happening in Singapore, but it may possibly. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Perhaps that lady should go out in the field, take her around to see it first hand for herself.

same here, I don't have any family, but I have bestfriends, they help me a lot, I'm depressed all of my life. I thought my life was better, until I working with one of my friend, she really cut all my feelings as her please, we don't match at work, she always blame me for everything, give me silent treatment when she's in bad mood, doesn't want to work together, I was confused with all her action cuz she such a lovely friend. it's really good when you have someone to relly on, but it will hurt so much when they treat you like that. I already apologize to her if I had mistake, but she's get away with everything she did to me, she said that's just how she act, and I have to suck it up. before I'm scared of living and die alone, Now I'm scared for having someone
