Why do We Open Up The Walls In A Demo

We all get excited about the shiny new stuff when it comes to renovations. But before you get carried away picking out countertops, let's talk about what's hiding behind those walls. Because here's the thing, in almost every home I've worked on, there's more going on than meets the eye. We're talking mould monsters, electrical nightmares, and even structural surprises that could put a damper on your whole dream reno.
Skipping the demo might seem tempting, but trust me, it's like putting a fresh coat of paint on a rusty car. Looks good for a minute, but those problems will come back to bite you later - and it'll cost you way more in the long run.
Don't let that happen! Taking down the walls might seem destructive, but it's the only way to see what's really going on behind the scenes. This way, we can fix those hidden problems before they cause major headaches (and become much more expensive!) down the road. You have to in order to see everything behind the Sheetrock. Wiring, Plumbing, Vapor Barrier, Insulation, Ductwork and to also see Structural Integrity for load bearing walls and what not! If it’s wrong you need to replace it no matter what! Love your work Mike.

What ever happened with that holmes community that all the building were built so poorly they had to be torn down? Are they all gone yet or are a few holding on for dear life?

I don't like the idea of everyone has a tree that grows money to pay for spray foam but removing drywall is a very good insurance policy and can actually save other trades time, therefore money.
