Have you ever wondered why we always see the same side of the moon?
No matter what time of the year it is, or which part of the earth we are on, the dark side of the moon is always hidden!
So, why do we see only one side of the moon? We know that apart from the motion of the moon around earth, the moon also rotates on its axis. The secret to its dark side lies in its synchronous rotation.
Watch the video where we explore this mysterious relation between the moon’s rotation and revolution.

As there is gravity on Moon (although its 1/6th percent of Earth) it pulls the water from the Earth causing tides. It can be a high tide or a low tide. Fishermen should also have the knowledge of tides as during a high tide it wil be more helpful for them because more and more fish will come near to the shore and they can bring their boats back. So, this is the attraction (occurrence of tides)of moons gravity to Earth.

Thank you BYJU'S I have gain some knowledge, which I want to show here😊The Moon orbits Earth once every 27.3 days and spins on its axis once every 27.3 days. This means that although the Moon is rotating, it always keeps one face toward us. Known as “synchronous rotation,” this is why we only ever see the Moon's nearside from Earth.🌚

Answer : Moon attract the Earth with the same force that Earth use . This is according to Newton's third law ( every action has an equal and opposite reaction) . But we can't feel the attraction because the size of the Earth is much larger than the size of the Moon ,so attraction of the Earth towards the the Moon is negligible............Thank you

Awesom Mam, it's really helps to understand the revolution and rotation 🔥 Yes, Moon also attract the earth but in opposite directions, but moon mass is so small campare to earth so doesn't so large effect. But we see the effect known as TIDAL FORCE which is generate by moon gravitational pull.

Ans : Moon attracts the earth with the same force as earth attracts but due to earth's large size ( comparatively ) there is negligible acceleration of earth towards moon. Moon's attraction results in tides on earth. Thank you Byju's for such amazing video 🙏😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Moon's attraction results in the formation of low and high tides. Due of Moon 's gravitational pull the earth squeezes from it's centre. Which causes low and high tides.
