Congratulations to you both ! And don't knock it 'til you try it ! We are an older couple as well, and have been in the lifestyle like you, since we were much younger ! Two twenty something kids that thought we had invented the lifestyle at the time ! LoL ! And yes, my wife is just as incredibly sexy hot as she has ever been ! Although we have pared down our activities since Covid, and have slowed down to enjoying a few of our closest friends who we have been together with for a number of years ! Interestlng... I was brought into the lifestyle when I was 67 years old after two, 20 plus year, monogamous marriages. Once I found the lifestyle, I was like a kid in a candy store! I loved it! I did find I had to give myself permission to try many new experiences thoug! I have, and found some that I love and some that I will never do again... but I tried them! Yay me! I have a few people that I am seeing and they are really awesome, transparent, and supportive. I'm not sure if I could have a primary partner at this point after my marriage. Love is caring about someone, warts and All. You want to make your partner happy, if you aren't you are being selfish. For a good relationship support your partner, you can worry. But supporting is the thing. If they want to skydive, or climb mountains. Go for it.

Once you are able to let go of those, let's say " antiquated " beliefs, of our original upbringing, and learn that there is an entirely different relationship model that can be on such an elevated and emotionally fulfilling level that can be extremely difficult to express ! Not to mention, the incredible turn-on it can be when you are free to express your experiences on a date you might have just came home from ! Some of the most unbelievable, mind-blowing sexual experiences have been with my wife and I after coming home from a date with another person ! I just got back from Hedo for the first time. You really should go if you can. There may not be a lot of publicly known free standing clubs around Alabama, but I can guarantee there are people doing house and hotel parties somewhere in your area. It just takes a little casting around to find.

Everyone does it differently. Some prefer endless variety. Others have a closed or mostly closed arrangement with other couples or singles. Sometimes that changes over time. In general I find myself and others my age over time tend to evolve toward fewer partners with deeper connections. At the same time, we remain very open to meeting new people.

Funny how everyone is different. For us my wife felt almost trapped in a monogamous relationship and suppressed her feelings for years while we were together. The whole time I would have been ok with exploration. Fast forward to now she feels like she can be herself and like a weight has been lifted. For me it’s all about friendships and fun even though I was just fine being in a monogamous relationship. Works for us but for different reasons I guess.

We always hear about the situations where it's just the one partner who wants to swing, but I've seen a number of cases where both parties start talking and realize that neither of them really wanted traditional monogamy but were keeping it up for appearances or because they assumed that's what the other wanted.

@@oswaldorodriguez6364 Those of us who are not wired for monogamy will never be happy living it. If you can roll with it, it should be very good for both of you. As a general matter I advise people that "mixed" marriages or partnerships where one is wired for monogamy and the other not is usually a recipe for disaster.

@@kenofken9458 We have never been happier and the Ls works great for us. Communication is key and spread through all aspects of our relationship. As far as wired for monogamy I think we both enjoy other partners. The main reason i believe she wouldn’t be able to go back is because her personality is one that loves to flirt and is very open sexually. Having to hold this in for her in a monogamous relationship would be a burden. She already feels like she can’t be herself around non Ls people in many cases.

Good is relative. There's SLS, and many of the dating apps like Feeld, Adult Friend Finder etc. It's worth putting a profile on several, but I have to say in more than 25 years of this, the best way I've found to meet real people is through other people. If you can get to some parties, try to make some real friendship connections in addition to just scoring that night. When you find people you mesh with, that plugs you into other parties, other people etc. It seems like on many sites 99% of the "couples" are in fact single guys who are just looking for a wank fantasy or else are overseas scammers.

I really like the identity of being open compared the stigma of being a swinger. Being open to other people and experiencing others as being people we connect with sexually or personally just means we are open to care and enjoy others for who they are.

My wife and I have different views. I’d love to try this lifestyle. Mainly because watching her enjoy pleasure is what I love. She on the other hand tried to give it a shot but deep down wants no one in our sex life. She is exploring women but if I give it a title then it turns her off. I don’t want another woman. Just to watch her with men and women. I just wish she could see she is enough for me and it’s not needed but just a want. Idk. I think the type of non-monogamy you two do is under represented online, if I understand your relationship correctly. It sounds like feelings and admiration are allowed, but niether of you do very deep romance and polyamory the way it is more prescribed these days. Most poly people date in a way that extols high individualism regarding romance. I much prefer the couple centric open relationships where not as much puppy love courtship happens with outside partners. Online I mostly see the opposite ends of the spectrum regarding romance, and very few people representing the centrist route.

There's no magic number where that's concerned, and really if you do develop feelings, is that a horrible outcome? This is a very contentious issue between traditional swingers and those of us more on the poly spectrum. Many old school swingers consider feelings for any outside play partner to be completely taboo, the one unforgivable sin. I couldn't live like that anymore. I don't by any means fall in love with anyone I play with, but I usually have two or three regulars who I have deeper relationships with and then the usual network of more casual play friends. Unexpected love feelings can happen on the first time, or they can happen completely outside of any swinging context.
