I don’t usually comment on 2 year old videos but I want to thank you for this one. I’ve never heard the concept of an open relationship explained better in a relatively short period of time. Thanks again

For those new to the lifestyle I would suggest they watch all your videos, read Jackie's book, do a whole lot of talking before jumping off into the deep end. The lifestyle has a variety of levels and I believe the level that John and Jackie are at is a small percentage of those in the lifestyle. I am sure they would admit they had many hours talking what worked and what didn't. Not all experiences are going to be fantastic, but they can still be used as a learning experience. My lovely wife and I were in the lifestyle for about 12 years when we were younger and it didn't hurt our relationship - married 51 years now and I still think she's sexy. Yes kids there is sex at 70. PS: John I would be very picky who I would share Jackie with and I would pity the fool whoever disrespected her. OK so I am still a little old skool - most of us Vietnam vets are.

If your relationship with each other is as complete and compelling as you say, why do you think you need a paramour? Is it perhaps the case that your first love is for the fulfillment of your own desires for gratification of your fantasies? That is, you love yourself, and then you love your primary partner to the extent that they assist you in gratifying your personal desires whatever they may be? If we grant that, then to what extent does that love of the self broaden and attenuate over time for as long as your primary partner relationship continues?

Been watching your channel for a while now and you guys are awesome! It's amazing that you guys are educating the public. My wife and I have been married for 20 years and two children. After 10 of those 20 years we decided to open up our marriage and it has been the most amazing experience to date. Now I can talk for hours about all of the positive aspects of this type of relationship. But overall it's just amazingly freeing, and wouldn't want it any other way :-) Jackie love the new hair color 😊. Cheers!

This was a wonderful topic, hearing how it started. Please do an episode on single people finding like-minded singles. I would love to be able to be very forward on a dating profile, about wanting an open relationship, and have that actually work. I think even women that like threesomes might not go on a date with a guy that puts too much on his dating profile. Am I wrong?

I'm hoping how can answer how a straight couple can find a place in the lifestyle, when 99.9% of couples, the woman is bi and expects me to play with her, and when I tell couples I am a straight woman, it's like the couple never talks to us again because I won't add the other women "Fulfill her needs " and thus wet don't meet any couples after the first meet and greet that want to talk to us again. How does a straight equal swap couple ever find couples that are also straight that do equal swaps. It feels like trying to find the mythical Unicorn, except we're looking for a straight couple. Any suggestions? My 2nd question is why do all these woman want to bi if they have a man? Why wouldn't they just be lesbians?
@aNaturalist
@aNaturalist Жыл бұрын
Well, they want to have a hetero marriage, and also est some cupcake too. 🧁 Also, I think a few do it because it's loved and popular. Have you two tried online swinger's adds? List on there that you're straight. Couples with straight women exist, and they're likely not finding Couples super fast either.

What happens when the other in the couple is curious but afraid to try?
@openlove101
@openlove101 4 жыл бұрын
I remember being curious but hesitant when I first started out in the lifestyle. I made sure to be patient with myself while I digested this very new to me relationship model. John and I spent many an evening walking and talking our way through what our relationship would look like, how we wanted to engage with others and what that meant to us. We really took our time to cultivate our trust in one another and gave ourselves room to adjust to our more open marriage. There is a saying I love, "You can only go as fast as the slowest person." We adopted this approach and it worked for us.

a man's point of view is often sex is sex and love is love , not all men are the same but men find it easier it seems to differentiate between sex and love , which is why men are often misunderstood , also we are all not born to feel for just the one , we may live as humans and try to be monogamous but to be faithful to one person for life , for decades can be hard and is perhaps romantic idealism which can be contrary to reality and nature but the endeavour is a good thing to expect exclusivity and monogamy for a lifetime is a very high expectation if not open about it can lead to secrecy and dishonesty besides if you in general only love someone if that persons feels just for you and has sex only with you the question is whether that love that you feel is either genuine or deep enough because the more conditional love is the less it is genuine or deep enough as I see it

When John and I reconnected, he owned swinger clubs, coletteclubs.com/ so the topic came up very early on. I was at a point in my life where I was ready for change. His 20 years experience in the swinger lifestyle and my eagerness to try something new clicked and we've been loving our relationship model ever since.

What does her love do for you? How is this partnership a partnership? What is this partnership based on outside of consensual hedonism? I don't understand and I want to. Partnership sounds fake. Outside of snugging other people, what do you actually partner on? What is this team based in? Yall are old, kids grown, jobs secure. All that's left is hedonism. And that's not bad; Your business is hedonism. And for that reason this partnership is just about fun......?
