Gods above, I hate this question.
But I get it all the time, so I figured it was time to answer it.
I don't want there to be something wrong with me. I've just always known I'm different, and dammit, I want to understand why and what that means for me.
And I'll be damned if I allow anyone to shame me for that.
And I'll be damned if you allow it either.
You're a good, interesting person with every right to explore your identity, whatever that looks like for you.
For me, it looked like obsessing over the DSM for over a decade.
And hey, maybe that's okay.
