Liechtenstein owns land and property in Czechia. And all of it together is bigger than Liechtenstein. They are in dispute since 1945 when the Czechs seized the properties.

So many fun stories in the US/Canada border disputes. You’ve got the border between Maine and Canada that took forever to settle, mostly because nobody cared. And the best of all, America’s least talked about war, the Pig War.

Damn- I wish it still extended as far south as it used to. It would have been connected with the lower 48 States. And the U.S. would have had control of the entire west coast west of Canada. But mainly, I just wish that Alaska was connected with the lower 48 States.

Not only on the Alaskan Panhandle did both sides settle the border about halfway. Same with the border at the 49th parallel. The British at the time wanted their southern border to be at California's northern border.; the U.S. wanted it almost as far north as Alaska's southern panhandle border is now. And there's Maine. The U.S. wanted the border further north; Canada wanted it further south. In all three examples, both sides split the difference. And although the same didn't happen with the U.S. and Mexico, it's ironic that instead of ceding all of Mexico, they ceded half of it. Almost. I wish it was all. Meanwhile, I wish the U.S. never gave Mexico back the Baja Peninsula. And I wish the U.S. didn't lose the Philippines or give up Cuba and the Marshall Islands.

Well Canada was a British colony and so it's loyalty was to the home country to make the right choice which it sucks how it ended up this way but mind you Canada on its own without Britain, there wouldn't have been any negotiations as the U.S would've just taken everything, being apart of the British Empire was really Canada's only bargaining chip in this event.
