Get rotary air compressor with drier work great, builds air fast and very quiet. For 25 yrs hearing old piston style compressors very noisy. With new shop has 2 rotary compressors with a/c cooled drier very quiet operation. Reason for 2 of them because of shop having DPF cleaner. Rotary compressor somewhat like supercharger on your truck. Only problem they're on pricey side.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. If I understand correctly today was when Dougo was having his knee surgery. Thinking of you Dougo. Get well soon. We miss you. I trust your surgery went well and starting to heal. Take care of yourself. Nice job Chet and Brody getting that 200lb drive back up on top of the bin. Heavy lifting job. You got it done. Nice job. Another truck broken down. Always something. Get her fixed I guess. You all take care and be safe. Like the air ride system on the chevy truck. Thanks The Iowa Farm Boy.

As far as the air compressor goes, you need at least an 80 gallon tank and a larger 2 stage compressor. 2 or 3 cylinders preferable. That way you will have more cfm and about 150 to 175 lbs of line pressure.

Dougo - had to ratchet my knee straight every morning as well as slight pain frequently. Finally had enough - needed a meniscus slice taken out about 12 years ago and worked out great. I like it when things work - especially your body. Do the rehab stuff as directed - the rubber band pull stuff and other weight lifting technique stuff they have you do - it is important. Be back to normal in a month or so. Playing hockey through minor league pro hockey didn't hurt me - crashing a mini bike at the cabin did.

Surgeon took a small pizza slice out of it and been like new for 12 years or so. Nice when things work, especially your body - haha. Surgeon asked me after if I remembered waking up during the operation and taking a swing at him before I went back out. Nope - I seriously didn't. He laughed and said - every once in a while it happens. Back to normal a month or so Dougo - Do the rehab stuff as directed - the rubber band pull stuff and other weight lifting technique stuff they have you do - it is important. Save the tank from the old compressor and plumb the new one into it to increase your air storage.
@larrybe2900
@larrybe2900 Жыл бұрын
In practical terms that is a good idea. In actually doing it might be a bad idea. First the older tank is rated for a lower pressure. Secondly there is going on three decades of exposure to moisture inside the tank so the condition would be questionable on top of the rating. If one keeps the pressure the same in that tank it probably has some service left in it.

Ok so, I watch another farm channel that's a cattle farmer in South Dakota and one of their commentors claimed dir farmers don't work as hard now during calving season. I grew up in a small Michigan farm town all dirt farmers and I can tell you thry work just as hard year round. Both types of farms. Especially these days as complicated tractor upkeep has become because of all the computer and sensors systems in them. Plus so many other modern systems that requires near constant maintenance. It's definitely entertaining watching the Larson Farms crew working to keep their farm producing crops.

Check you're doing a whole lifting process incorrectly. What you need to do is run a s***** block of hires and where you're going to land the gear Box. You hook onto you're Box while it's on the ground you've got a rope running through the s***** block at the top And from the ground you pull the rope down and lifting the gearbox up. That way you don't have a vertical deadlift while bending over the guard rail. That's how we did it when I was working for the power company, standing on the side of the telephone Pole, I wouldn't pull supplies up to me, the guys on the ground would pull it up to me.

Not sure if it is a big concern to you as far as the drag conveyor fluctuations on the concrete pad between the bins, to me it seems like over the years it will become a larger headache. As a permanent fix to that issue before it becomes a major sore point, I would saw out the concrete at each support point and sink an I-Beam about 4 foot in the ground with cement and then support the conveyor from those points so as no fluctuations. Think of it like pilings that are supporting a bridge. Yes, a little work now but would save headache and gray hairs down the road........😁
