Starbucks charging that much money, is worth it for an occasional visit that too from the well to do section of society. I have lived for almost 30 years in Canada and have specifically chose not to patronize any of its locations. They are just like any large multinational Co. They want to get rid of all of their competition and India will end up getting rid of anything distinct that makes India unique. If Starbucks are available here and now available there as well where is uniqueness we are expecting to see in India? In a way I thank God it is so expensive...this way it's a deterrent for ppl going to patronize it on a regular basis.

That is very close to American prices, still lower but way more than I would imagine, and, I would hope Starbucks as a chain would make a more inclusive version of their chain for the average person in India to grab a nice coffee as a treat. It's so nice to see Starbucks is really regional in India vs the rest of the world starbucks which are more similar. One thing that amazed me in India was the opening time. Most Starbucks around the world open early to catch people rushing out to work and want an early shot of caffeine. In India they only open for lunch and avoid the breakfast crowd. I think the prices are ok because the specialty drinks are really unhealthy but taste great. If they were cheaper then Starbucks would contribute to a very unhealthy diet. Once in a while it's nice to go for a treat and pamper yourself

Excellent vlog, if one can score that much privacy & space with top notch ambiance in a place filled with heavenly aroma of coffee in a hipster town with silicone aspirations (pun intended) then the cost & price of ingredients and product sold is nominal to the actual product being sold: The Experience with Branding. People are buying bragging rights by partaking in the experience & projecting wealth & sucesss! The price of that for the wealthy? Priceless! From your finance background you clearly know, the market price of any product it the price the market will bear! If there is a mismatch it will eventually recalibrate, if not it will continue to increase and test the upper ceiling of people's affluence & comfort zone! That said, I must conclude your highliting of the mango gello pearls (fruit caviar) was brilliant, I could almost imagine the flavor bursting & the texture of squishing beads in my mouth! Once again Ivana, bloody brilliant! I can't wait to go there... & I live in the land of Starbucks & even partaken it at the Seattle Space Needle... nothing special about their over-roasted (by default) cup of Joe but the view & experience, "extraordinary" ☕

A cappuccino/latte costs £3.05 in the Starbucks here in London, which is around Rs300. Alongside a sandwich, you could have that meal at the same price, or even a little bit cheaper in a London Starbucks. However, here I find both Costa or Cafee Nero better than Starbucks, but it`s only my personal opinion. And some independent small local cafe shops are way better than any of these. Do you have any small independent cafe shop in Bangalore, positioning themself to that "high-end", exclusive market segment?
