You are beautiful! I love your hair and your positive attitude. You are definitely an encouragement to so many women. Negative comments from that woman and others like her, definitely stem from insecurity and jealousy. I love watching your videos. I am one year into my silver hair journey and I’ve loved every minute of it. 💗 I’ve learned so much about myself…

One year in is a huge accomplishment!! Way to go!! It really is a journey about self discover as much as it is about hair growth isn't it!

I love how positive and supportive you are in your videos. You did get lucky with your beautiful hair, and I hope everyone else gets that lucky too, myself included. Your hair is inspiring to others, and I'm glad you are sharing it with the rest of us. We all need beauty inspiration. The whole beauty industry uses beautiful examples to inspire the rest of us. Every box of hair dye uses a picture of a beautiful woman with beautiful hair to inspire someone to buy that box.

This is true!!!!we need to see more representation of proaging on those boxes!

Your hair and disposition is beautiful glad you came up on my feed. I am just starting my grey journey not too many people are on board, except my husband and my adult daughter. I guess that should be enough for now. Don't give trolls the time of day.

Sometimes what people say is a reflection of their own insecurities they project outwards. They see someone having overcome those challenges, which makes them feel more insecure about themselves, and secretly jealous of the other person. Haters gonna hate. You be you.
@amandasilversister9 ай бұрын
I totally agree with you!! I use that thinking to find some empathy towards my haters for sure!

I appreciate you sharing this. I love how you said it’s a “them problem.” I have been lucky to have positive comments and compliments about my gray hair. But when I encourage others to ditch the dye, many say “Oh! My hair would never look as nice as yours.” I try to disagree and be positive. I hope to be positive force like you have been to me😊

I am always open that I had no idea what mine would look like and it ended up being much different then I thought it would be! I think we all tend to get a version that suits us!

hi Amanda, I am on the grey hair journey - 43 weeks in. I think the negative comments only strengthen our resolve to reach our silver goal. . The best comment came from a friend who was adamant she just couldn't go grey but this week she said she really likes how my hair is looking and is now inspired to ditch the dye too. It is so freeing not to have to do the root touch up every couple of weeks. Happy new year!❤

Its also nice when you know that you have influenced another person. For me, I get so excited for someone new on their journey because it really become about so much more then hair....its such an amazing period of grow in more ways then one!
@melinakoufalis2819 ай бұрын
She has a point that your hair is great. But she's jealous. But you are just giving others the confidence to go forth and try going grey. I have plenty of white hair but not enough to be excited by my grey hair grow our appearance at the end.

I think you are amazing!! Thank you for putting yourself out there to encourage the rest of us to "be ourselves & embrace our grey" I am so very sorry for the spiteful people who feel the need to vomit about what you are doing!!!!!

Thx hon… it took me aback for a bit I must admit but I honestly love coming on here to support and encourage women on their grey hair grow out!! Thx for the comment!!

My goodness that female was gaslighting you😮 How insecure and low of her. She obviously has deep-rooted insecurities. In hind-sight, you could have said, "Gosh, thank you for the compliments on my hair!". She was telling you that your hair is not wirey, is a beautiful white/silver, and it looks good on you 😉. She really wanted to bring you lower to how she views herself. You don't have to defend yourself against anyone who tries to engage you in a battle you have no responsibility to participate in. You go, girl!

Thanks hon!! It was so odd bc she was actually saying some nice things then would turn mean!! Appreciate your support on here!

You look amazing! I'm 2 months into this journey (dyed my hair black for 20 years). Just noticed my greys starting to come in, in my mid 30s. Can't wait for a full head of them!

It just blows my mind that anyone would throw hate at you! It really makes me wonder if they are a.i. simply programmed to ruin a person’s joy and positive mental state!! And even if it’s not that (which I really think it is) there’s no use in engaging with sociopaths who will twist your words and meanings, just as you said. My teenie weenie gray hair centered KZbin channel is about loving what God made naturally on my head- and that happens to be grey now!! And just as you said for yourself, I do not care in the LEAST of anyone likes it or not cuz I LOVE IT!!!! Anyway- blessings from a fellow gray hair girl!!!🙏❤️ Let’s ignore the a.i. that’s programmed to ruin us!🙏🙏🙏

Just ignore those randoms, they are sad people, I think you look gorgeous, I only hope I look as good as you when my hair is all grown out. I'm only 9 weeks in but I can already see people looking at my roots when they talk to me but no one has yet said anything haha. I have decided to make grey hair cool. My teenage son is soo supportive, he says it looks great ❤

Awww Amanda you're doing a great job, (takes guts to do what you do) keep doing these vids, they have/ continue to help me on my grey hair journey 😊. I didn't read the nasty comments, like you tho I can't understand why some people are nasty, you're right we *should be* supporting eachother and feel happy for eachother... Rise above it but at the same time don't beat yourself up for having answered... Hope you had a lovely Christmas, we had a fab time in bonnie Scotland. Looking forward to more vids in 2024🎉

You have great silver hair and I really like your chic, simple hairstyle. The person that recently criticized you I assume was female. Unfortunately, unlike you who are supportive and positive about a woman’s decision to choose her own look, some women have been taught to be critical and competitive towards others of their own gender. I decided to transition to grey hair in December 2023 and although it has been difficult because I feel self- conscious at times and perhaps I I imagine I am judged by both sexes, I refuse to go back to dying my hair. Please continue on your positive and creative path. : ))
