Well am now playing this game on my Mega Drive Mini 2 and looking to understand why no one mentions this SOLEIL game i found out it has another title for America thanks to your video.
@CMKarm11 ай бұрын
I remember it. One of my favorite games of all time. The story was heavy for the time and really quite beautiful. Solid gameplay and interesting mechanics with the animal companions and their team-up skills. Bad timing made this such an underrated title.

This game has recently been added to the switch's online service. I played this game alot when I was young, so it's great to play through it again. Without the high price 👍

Personally I like the tragic approach that sometimes, the mistake was to force beings to live together. It helped me as a kid to make sense of divorce and watching news of countries infights or make sense of history. No offense but not everyone wants the rosy message. If you think about it, later on games like demon souls made the same stuff appealing to "grown ups". Even the happy end of soleil mentions that a part of history was lost. Its almost cynical, but for the innocent boy it means peace.

I owned this game. My personal favorite game for the Genesis/Mega Drive next to Musha, Elemental Master, and Phantasy Star IV.

I feel like the maker of Undertale must have played this game. Excellent video! I think the worm represented smell in that it was using smell to find your character, maybe?
@Vakantscull3 жыл бұрын
that's a good point, you never have a moment in rpgs when you make your charscter stop and shower so a lot of them probably do stink quite a bit 😅
@RedChems3 жыл бұрын
@@Vakantscull ironically (according to Google) worms do not possess the sense of smell so it’s rather odd that they picked worms to represent smell. That being said, every game has you go through the sewers at least once, so the worms would probably still be able to smell the player anyway

Not sure if you've looked at it since this video is now 3 years old but if you liked this game you should check out the spiritual successor called linkle liver story on the sega Saturn Japan on the way but has an English fan translation :)

im currently playing this. its very tricky in places one annoying thing was learning to jump took me about n hour to work out. and forgetting to save. the sword can be a bit wonky swing the sword to cut grass and it doesnt cut or an enemy is right in front swing the sword and it doesnt hit. im gonna stick with it i like to finish games and wont stop till its beat. it was cool seeing sonic in the beach area.

yes yes he is finally back, intro made me laugh a lot lol, lol whats with games making young kids go on adventures, so basically you go to the pass destroy the spirit thing to make your dad alive because it prevents all the monsters coming to your world but thats where time punches writers in the face because if he went to the pass to stop dad from dying he would of not got his sword and shield, you know where I am going with this right lol
