@@angelothompson186 hard to describe in a few sentences, but imagine your future self wrote you a letter telling you everything that was going to come, so you started using that knowledge to enrich yourself and do all kinds of foul sh** to change your future. Now imagine another group was opposed to this idea, believing you were doing more harm than good, so basically worked their way backwards to stop you, but had to do so in a way that created a closed time loop, so the events were essentially shut off from the main timeline and maintained the natural order of events. For us, the viewer, we're watching the order of events, essentially out of order, but the main thing to pay attention to is the temporal pincer maneuver. There's several throughout, with the entire movie itself being one. The airport, the car chase, the yacht, and the beginning/end of the film. They all loop back on themselves. And that's really the point of the movie. Just a group of dudes closing the time loop so the timeline runs the way it's supposed to.

You forgot the part where he did meet Barry in the future as a teen and they went around stopping trouble in the future but Barry found out eobard was creating these dangers himself do he fought eobard and grounded him. Telling him "he'll never have what it takes to be a hero" and that spiraled to thawne becoming resentful and spiteful of Barry. Which then he decided to become his greatest villain instead of greatest side kick
