Ilan Pape has given me a peace I haven't had since the knowledge of the 7th of October 2023. I found myself screaming out loud on my own to the Australian government when yet another child was executed by an Israeli sniper with a bullet to the head, and heart sometimes. All the probably hundreds of thousands of Palestinians killed over the last 11 months and no one from my government nor the USA, Britain, Germany, France, Canada raised their voices to condemn the Israeli government. At 14” when he starts discussing Israeli reaction to the rape torture of the Palestinian hostage, it made me think of the parallels in the US to BLM and the lack of sympathy from some Americans to police terror in the Black community as well as the liberal inability to see this as a systematic problem that is a continuance of years white supremacist policing and, ultimately, white supremacy.

The only person to serve time was SFPD detective Thomas Gerard, who served two months in a work camp. Gerard, a former CIA agent, had fled to the Philippines after an FBI interrogation. In a briefcase he left behind in his police locker were 10 fake ID's, four in his name for American embassies in South America. Also I'm the briefcase were official government stationary, extensive info about death squads, a black hood, pictures of blindfolded men in chains and blank birth certificates & passports. During an interview from the Philippines Gerard threatened to expose the CIA for assisting South American death squads.
