Good morning, yeah, I have the same issue with my 99civic I did replace both the transmission speed sensor, and the actual speed sensor, and the needle just started going everywhere, again, my engine harness dose need to get replaced. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@Rawrkee yeah, wires everywhere, 😂😂 the guy I bought it from said the car was in a car club, and it shows, syncros are bad in second gear, everything is stock on the car. I do live in Cali, so it’s going to take a lot more to get the car to pass smog unfortunately. I mean for 800 bucks I just got the car maybe 2 months ago. I cant get mad. I was just going to swap the engine, maybe a K, or another H22. I have an 02 accord that I actually H swapped. I feel like H series motors are the underdog. Still, love your content. Keep it up. ☺️

I’m going to put my old broke one back in to Keep the mileage down for insurance purposes if someone hits me. They love to total our old cars. The rpm gauge worked on mine I know how fast I’m going. Hope your loving the prelude!

Hey bro, Im Albertius from Sabah, Malaysia....and I want tell you that you can use a pair of jack stand to lift up the front wheel drive and check the speed sensor if that sensor faulty while the wheel is up the jack.

VSS sensor is usually the issue

I had an issue with my speed sensor like yours. Turns out the plug was all messed up. Got a used good condition one and good as new.

Your issue is buying non oem parts for your car. Like that duralast from autozone. I always try to buy oem but it is hard to buy parts now after COVID
