Just lost my dog a 14 years two months ago and tomorrow my other dog has surgery on both sides of her body to remove cancerous tumors. These dogs have been one of the absolute biggest blessings of my entire life. They both came from the shelter and have given me nothing but unconditional love and loyalty. Unlike humans, I fall in love with dogs the minute I see them. The fastest way to my heart is through your dog ✅🐾❤️

Of COURSE he/she is! The first dog I actually spent a lot of time with was a dear friend's Yorkie. She and he were hitched at the waist. She was the most dedicated, loving little dog I have ever known UNTIL I found my little Maltipoo. Where would we be without them?
@Gloria-cy5mu2 ай бұрын
My maltese follows me every where, a lap dog for sure. When we try to go out the door he runs after us, and barks and tries to nip our ankles. If you don't close the bathroom door all the way he pushes it open, and comes in. Love this little guy.❤❤❤❤
@Polyphemus472 ай бұрын
I think my little guy is a Maltipoo. He was a rescue, supposedly a stray, so I don't know his breed or his exact age for sure. From the second we met, we bonded. His doleful eyes looking up at me behind glass in the shelter grabbed my heart. He was young - they thought maybe 2 y/o or so, and though I finally gave in to the name 'Buddy', I almost renamed him "Sputnik'. He was my little satellite, and still hovers most of the time. Forget using the laptop. He IS my laptop, and has my whole heart. Forget getting anything done around the house. He's GOT to be right in the center. Maybe he's part cat? I'm 76, and we live alone. The local shops know and love him, and he LOVES 'going out' for a few things now and then. He's on my lap right now, and propping up my little wireless keyboard. My little pal.

I usually raise my dog's from pups or at least around 6 months old so I've never had a dog that wasn't by my side and who didn't know how I was all the time. My dog's always preferred to be by my side because we were bonded. We ate together and I shared food out of my own mouth as a mama dogwood, so that makes us "tight". As clingy as this may sound my dogs are also always good at staying home alone without destroying anything. It always seemed like they were sitting or lying down in the same place as when I left them when I said goodbye stay and be good doggie[s]. Funny but before this moment I had never thought that they might literally take me saying stay seriously. They never were very good at staying when I was trying to teach it, but would stay back when I threw it down as an absolute order. I had a few absolutes but the rest of it was just organic training and allowing the dogs to think about what is good inappropriate behavior in any situation and they always did fine because of a training technique I call Mamadogging. Just acting like a mama dog showing the dog what is acceptable and what is not. Only in my scenario, when a dog is just hanging out being good they get a lot of attention - in nature/in dogdom, that doesn't happen. They basically getting edged around or stopped or held accountable in some way, and never do get praise for when they are good so they really must have to figure it out on their own, that being good means when they're not being bossed around. Sweet this way with a human petting them when they are just sitting around being good lets them know that I really want a lot more of that so I'm going to be really good. Conversely I never give in to any demands for free petting because to do so is to give in to an insistent demand and you are rewarding that. You also are reinforcing any will of theirs to push you around. You really do have to be the boss, but not the king Daddio Alpha like they used to teach you in the 70s. Now just being Mamadog is enough, that is unless you are training for the ring. Censoring or censuring nudges, barking out orders like stay back, or growls when they are about to go wrong really go a long way in this method. With this way I have dogs that come into the room with me wherever I go and turn their backs to me and guard the door. Even the Maltese, the pit - not necessarily known for guarding because they are social and friendly if you are raising them right, the ShepChow, Corgiwawa, AmStaff, White Boxer, Beaglab... they are not all guarding type breeds but they all guarded me, and I'm not a needy person I think it's Testament to how tight we were bonded. They definitely proved they had my back and apparently, knew I had their backs too. Just like a family unit. A pack.
@Smelly-Belly2 ай бұрын
Wow, it sounds like you've created an amazing bond with your pups through your Mamadogging technique! 🐾💕 It's impressive how they understand and respect your guidance.
