This is so relatable Sam!!!!! Already, I feel like anytime I hear people talk about or present their research, it sounds so complicated but I have an automatic tendency to break down anything that sounds unnecessarily complicated into something simple. It’s actually a good skill to have but in the world of academia, the jargon is reallllll hahaha. You’re doing amazing and speaking nothing but the truth! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Honestly for the longest of time I thought that it was just me that felt that way about presentations in academia. But I’m so happy to hear that you simplify it!! Great to see you back on here! Started an MPhil this year and your videos literally helped me get ready to make the move to Cam. In the process of prepping my PhD app so it was great to hear the realities of it and think about what I can put in place if I am successful to mitigate some of these challenges. Thanks for the vid!

Ahhhh Jessica!! Thank you so much! the last few months have been a battle, motivation has been incredibly low, but I am taking a little part time break from the PhD to do something a little bit different. But Jessica I have been keeping up with you and you are doing great! Its so beautiful the community you have been able to build I absolutely love it. And I have to say your trouble shooting issues have helped me so much I have been having similar struggle with the my bacterial growth and when I get back to doing Lab work again will defo have a look at the media. Thank you so much Jessica for everything you do!!! :)

I can really relate with this Sam. During my Master’s thesis project, I was a victim of everything you mentioned but it turned out that I was even doing better than I thought. I pulled through. Thanks for always encouraging and inspiring young scientists. Keep up the good work. I’m looking forward to more videos from you
