I happened to stumble into this story on KZbin today, I am so overwhelmed with tears, aches and pain in my heart that, I have been running away from my calling, which I am still trying to figure out, but not yet got there. It suddenly dawn on me that I and all of us are called to serve. Even Jesus Christ Our Lord and Redeemer is still serving us through His Passions. I have wrestled with this restlessness to serve and it’s inspiring to see how amazing and loving Our Heavenly Father is. Our Lady of good prayers, together with Mother Delores, and the blessed Angels and Saints of God, please pray for me and all others who are struggling to realize our calling and purpose in this life.

God calls whom He will, when He will. I was a bitter athiest who, to put the icing on the cake, lost her lover AND his brother, my best friend within 4 months of each other. I was jealous, spiteful, angry and not afraid to show it. And all of a sudden I felt the call. No, it wasn't a 'road to Damascus' experience. It was more like I heard the cry of my own broken heart for the first time. It was like the sound of a blind kitten drowning in a gutter, the most lost, helpless and forlorn sound, and only God could hear it. Why would he? But He did. And little by little He is changing my pain to His service. I want to give to others that same Love, and soon I help by helping Father bring the Eucharist to the nursing homes, the hospitals, the shut ins. Soon I will help Vincent de Paul ministries bring food and warm clothing to the poor. Soon I will do whatever He wants me to do to show others the Love that rescued me. Our Lord's peace to all who love Him!

I lived as a little boy hearing, and seeing Delores Hart, because she's my cousin, my Aunt's niece. She visited us a few times in Elmore Illinois, down along the Spoon River. She would talk about Evil, and compared my dad to him, because they called my dad the brown eyed Elvis, before he died. WOW, that's been 60 years ago. Good Times.

Their hair is very closely cropped and it's often very cold there. Many of the sisters wear it when their heads become cold. Mother Delores was first given one by her abbess over 50 yrs ago when she mentioned that her head often became cold.
