I think that Mother Dolores's story speaks to all of us. Coming to know God's Will and Plan for us in our lives (when we seek to serve Him) becomes a reality when we identify and use the gifts that He has given us. As long as we are obedient in following His will, He will lead us to use our gifts to serve Him in His Will. When we lead the life that God has intended for us, imagine the joy in life that must come from serving Him to achieve His will. Mother Dolores did just that. Her joy shows.

Mother Delores Hart is lovely, she not only has a good heart but she uses her entire heart and listens with her heart - I loved her entire speech...I laughed and cried -thank you for putting this online it was full of virtues lost sadly to say in this world of today. I had a Wonderful time of joy listening to her!

She is simply an inspiration for Religious Life. It illustrates that God truly chooses us to serve Him. He extends the invitation, it is up to us to choose to accept. I strongly urge those who have been moved by dear Mother Dolores, to see the HBO documentary "God is the Bigger Elvis", which delves into her decision to enter Religious Life, and shows the Abbey of Regina Laudis and some of the SIsters discussing their vocations. It is superbly peacefully beautiful.

I remember this lady. She worked in the bookstore for awhile. We always called her "Sister Sassy".

Please take no offense at my tone, but I'd think that a lot of women ought to know: Not only is this woman truly spiritual, but she kissed Elvis Presley in "Loving You"!
