It's hard for me to say, because I've identified a handful of channels, maybe 8 or 10, where the creator is always amusing and enjoyable and I just watch every video. I try to watch every video within 24 hours because I understand that matters to the algorithm. If you wanted to do one on paint drying, I would probably watch it. And then most other channels, it depends on the usual things. And I love the monthly tutorials. And to be honest, some people go in and out of the always watch list, but it depends more on the person and less on the content, unless it becomes a hard left turn in a change of content.

This was so insightful! I have often wondered why creators don’t show older products. It seemed weird because we bought the products that they talked us into when they did the review, and then we never hear about them again, except for maybe in that month’s favorites video. But as consumers, many of us have large makeup collections because of new product review videos. It’s a weird cycle, but it’s not a sustainable way to live. I realize it’s probably only a small percentage of people like that, but without Beauty KZbin I know I wouldn’t have all of this makeup. So for me, I’m looking for inspiration on how to get more use out of what I already have instead of continuing to buy all the new releases. On a side note - I am so glad I picked up your Club Nebula palette when it launched! The color story is divine, and the dark mattes perform beautifully and last all day! The whole palette is gorgeous, I’m very happy to have it in my collection!

I like when you review a new product but also incorporate some other older things that you have been using and comment on the performance of those items too. It helps me with my purchasing choices to hear your overall thoughts not just first impressions. I also like the monthly reviews.

I'm so glad to see you use your Club Nebula palette! Mine is still in shipping purgatory, so I'm living vicariously through your looks

This is my favourite kind of video - discussing an interesting/relevant topic (not so much chit-chatty GRWM) while being a tutorial Oh, and love the book analogy ♥️

Honestly, I have a few favorite youtubers (including you) that I will literally watch anything they put out. The title can be a single letter and id watch it lol. But, there’s some channels I follow that are repetitive and do the same boring things and I watch it once or twice but not again. I think you’re creative and come up with enticing titles!

I love the book analogy! I also have books where I've bought a more expensive special edition just because it looks beautiful. Why not also own palettes because they are beautiful and bring me joy?

I think your management of your content is amazing, and very smart. I love your videos, especially any when you're applying your makeup. Your eyeshadow looks and color theory make me excited to use all of my rainbow powders in new ways : ) thanks angie, hope you have a good day!

i love watching your videos because i love your content. i’ve been seeing a few videos about “palettes that shouldn’t be discontinued” and i’ve only watched those videos from people i love to watch. anywho, you’re the one that put me on to the nyx moon glow and i reallllly love it. i’m praying that i’m able to get your palette next time it releases. i set my alarm the day it was released for 2:30 am est and i was on the site by 2:50 am, but it still sold out on me. the second time, i was in the hospital. hopefully, 3rd times the charm. i really love pink and red eyeshadow together. btw, you have the CUTEST nose!!! i’m so excited for you to hit 100k. i know that i found your channel last year, but i have watched every video you’ve posted since i subscribed. i have gone back and binge watched the videos i missed. does that help your engagement at all??? i’m curious to know.

Ofc it always helps when people watch older videos but, unfortunatly, the algorith cares most about new videos and videos that get alot of views in a short amount of times :)

I LOVE the book comparison. It makes me feel better about my pallete collection mentality.

I find this topic fascinating. Personally I love “shop my stash” and tutorials. As I almost exclusively buy only new indie eyeshadow singles I’m not a big fan of trying all new palettes. Things like foundation and mascara bore me to tears :) I think it’s unfortunate that not enough people are into less consumerist type videos. I wish you nothing but success with your channel for as long as you choose to do it.

I absolutely agree with what you said about not clicking on videos you don't want to see. It might help people stop making that kind of content, but also it helps youtube better figure out what you, as a viewer, are interested in seeing and better caters your home page and recommendations. Randomly clicking on whatever shows up is part of what causes youtube to recommend more random videos you don't care about. Great video Angie!!

I love your palette so much and I am excited to see you combine it with other Kaliedos palettes. I am hoping I can pick it up when it restocks!

I just love how honest and real Angelica is. She's not like "I'm not in for the money but ONLY for fun" because that's just not reality. With any job you always look to sustain yourself. Obviously, you choose a job that makes you happy and which you have fun with. But the main reason why we work IS money. I also love the book metaphor. There are SOME books I re-read but it doesn''t happen often because !There are always new interesting and beautiful books coming out you want to read! Same with video games. Or Palettes. I have to say, I watch beauty/Make-Up videos for two reasons: I1. like the person and have fun watching them 2. I want to see that new product I'm already interested in, whether it's worth buying, what's the quality and how it looks on their skin if it's, for example, the same skin tone as mine. If I already own a palette, I can just hit up KZbin and watch older videos from when the products came out and people reviewed it. Often reviews include looks. Or I just copy the look a YTer uses another palette for. So there's that...

I liked the video you did with Heather Austin talking about your favorite greens. I would watch videos where you went over your favorite shades or palettes for a given color family or value (dark, pastel, multichrome, shimmer, grunge, warm, cool, neutral).
