Drake started to loose his female fans base when he started going after women like Serena and Rihanna who have moved on with their life. He went after Pusha’s fiancé and also Whitney; it’s corny to use women in your battles; No woman of sound mind and spirit would be okay with that.

That's a great point. But also, in some ways it may be as simple as people are used to 30 year olds acting 20 in entertainment, but now Drake is nearly 40, people are starting to think "isn't it weird he still acts like that awkward 17 year old who feels sorry for themselves because they don't attract enough women to treat them like they're nothing yet, overcompensating".

People like Pusha T, Kendrick and most other rappers in long-term relationships in their late 30s and 40s, must just look at Drake as an absolute child. I feel quite a lot of the 'rappers turning away from Drake' thing, is just people stop putting up with stuff they disagree with, once they're in their late 30s and 40s. They're less open to just going along with stuff that doesn't sit with them and they have a much firmer idea of where they sit as people.

Once he ushered in the jiggy era, it was all over; artistic, forward-thinking socially conscious and message-minded hip-hop went right out the window (at least in the mainstream) and it was now all about chains, clothes, hos and cars. I cringe every time I see this clip. Couldn’t help but to hear MEN so loudly cheering. One a separate but related note… 2 guys on a podcast were talking about pdfiles and creeps in entertainment, and how they learned their lesson about being silent about such individuals from knowing about CK Lewis (they clipped a previous podcast with Will Fidel I believe, talking about them all collectively knowing about his actions but not speaking up). Well, one guy happen to mention Drake. Said he heard that Drake was on some “Epstein shit” and that it was gonna come out. (remember the Freudian slip in the heart pt 6 where Drake says “that Epstein angle was some shit i predicted”. Remember, Kdot used Weinstein’s name specifically in NLU and his people don’t be mixing up those -steins!!) Please also know In that SAME episode, they pivoted to talking about Jeffery Epstein’s case as he was in the feds at the time(speaks to how long ago this was).. They literally said “oh he’s about to get su*c*ded” and 3 days later it was reported he unalived himself! If there was any question in my mind about the accuracy of Meet the Grahams, that 5/6 year old interview confirmed it for me! 2 yt dudes likening you to a pdfile before anyone was really listening means the entertainment industry circles BEEN discussing Drake and Kendrick just happened to be the only person brave enough to call a thing a thing on such a platform. Wow! The analogy of Drake's music being like fast food is so spot on. His music never reflects what's going on in the world or just with people in terms of personal development. As a sapiosexual, it does nothing for me. Don't get me wrong, hits like Hot Line Bling, have a time and a place, but if that is all an artist has to offer, it becomes shallow and redundant. Kendrick's music reflects his journey as a man, as a Black man, and as a human. Drake is almost 40. It's time for him to embrace his age and walk into manhood. It's time for him to grow and develop. If he sits still and reflects on this "battle," it could possibly impact his life for the better.
@SeanStrife

Sadly, as Kendrick said... Drake's probably a narcissist, and narcissists do NOT like to sit down and do any sort of self-reflection whatsoever. I'm Drake's age, and I'm kinda side-eyeing the shit out of him doing this tired-ass Hypebeast shit when that shit ain't even cool anymore. I've gone through that painful introspection, but even I didn't have NEARLY as many skeletons as Drake does in his closet... the man needs to sit down and take Kendrick's words to heart in Meet The Grahams: therapy's a lovely start.

Hi I know the internet has convinced you otherwise but Narcissistic personality disorder is not something you can diagnose over the internet. There are also MANY people with this actual medical diagnosis that are kind people working to overcome the challenges that come from this. And seeing people constantly use their diagnosis as a signifier of ‘people we really don't like’. And it jumps from mental health issue to mental health issue “They’re a sociopath” “they’re a psychopath”. Etc. Etc. Until enough real people with the diagnosis speak up and say “hey were actual people and not cartoon boogymen or everyone’s crappy ex.” You seem to lack empathy for the right people.

Man child, can't grow up, can't self-reflect, can't take accountability for his actions, no humility, no common sense, no empathy, tacky displays of ego, love bombing, infatuation not love, 42 unused engagement rings!!! NO EMPATHY! When you deeply understand the gravity and effect that not having empathy has on the narcissist and the people around him, all the other behaviour starts to make sense.

I'm in my 50s. Trust me when I say we've all had what we thought was a goat in our era who turned out to be a moment. I can't say with confidence whether Drake has staying power but I would say if he is talking about money, women and sex, over the years, the only audience who wants to listen to that will be young people. And they will want to hear it from artists their age in their time. Artists who become legends are almost always electrifying, even if they're singing about love. The next few generations will not care about some artist's "streaming" numbers from decades back (streaming numbers that may very well be broken by their own peers), and the older audience will keep it moving with legends with classics. It is what it is.

I don't know if you came across it in your research...but there is a great commentary video from a KZbin creator named "That Girl Noli" who talks about Drake and how people feel from a BLACK Canadian perspective. Its really eye opening...especially since she worked in the industry and has actually interacted with drake once or twice. She talks about the unfortunate double-edged nature of Drake on the Toronto music industry and how once something that they thought would be good for it....has actually turned catastrophic and how him being brought down is something they hoped for. Some of the voices coming out from Canada has been the most surprising to me because I always thought...well he does have a nation behind him where he is actually integral to part of it's economy...but I'm starting to find out I was wrong about this. There are bigger cracks there than I thought (especially with the whole Hell's Angel thing....which apparently is a REAL bad look from the perspective of the black-Caribbean Canadians....but that's a whole other story). Its crazy that Drake is really not as untouchable as he probably thought he was....but given how he has gone about his business behind the scenes (especially with women)....I guess his downfall shouldn't be as big of a surprise as we all thought.

I believe that was his personal invitation to the white party. That’s why he was wearing white waving & smiling & I think Michael Ruebin knew that was his way of attending. I think Michael was hoping to have a mini battle at his party! Sad that he had no clue that would not have gone well for drizzle!😂😂😂

I’ve been telling people Aubrey was corny, since day one. I grew up watching him on Degrassi. I remember his interviews and talking him talking about what he wanted his future to be. I always knew this rapper persona was just that. A persona. I got called every “hater” in the book, because I said he was corny as hell, and I don’t even listen to rap music!

I only heard the music where he was a feature because it was everywhere. I have been saying since 2009-2011 he needs to stick to singing/pop because the rapping, i never was feeling.

Black men been told us Drake was corny but we didn’t listen. Kendrick saying it had a different impact because Kendrick is so well respected. Kendrick is a masculine man; wholesome but also not afraid of confrontation or fighting for what he believes in. Most black women ain’t going against Kendrick and his archetype, ever. Honestly, I can’t even look at Drake the same. I see him as a feminine girl now.

@@aferg76 black men didn’t discover anything everyone else already didn’t know. Everyone knew from the get-go. Drake was corny, but it didn’t matter because he gave us hits. At the end of the day we’re here for the music not to spectate every aspect of your personal life.

You didn't listen because you thought we were just hating. Early in his career he came off as sensitive and caring and was telling you what you wanted to hear. A game that all men know too well. We saw right through him plus he's corny. Now his material has changed and his true colors are finally showing. Plus the women are older and more wiser (no longer little girls) and now they see through the bs.

Doesn't hurt Kendrick that he's getting better looking with age and Drake's getting worse looking. And to be honest Kendrick may have always had the advantage to begin with; he just doesn't tend to lean into pick-up songs because everyone knows he's got a long-term partner. Women who might have been more drawn to Drake in a 27 year old, might well be more drawn to Kendrick in a 37 year old.

Please watch “what’s the dirt’s” breakdown of 616 in LA - it's an absolute stunner - Kendrick is brilliant beyond words. The guy has the images of Millie Bobby Brown with Drake on a yacht called the predator when she was only 13. Of course she’d deny anything inappropriate with Drake. And for those who question her parents - they pimp their children out in the entertainment industry every day. I’ll check your channel to see if you’ve already reacted to it.

I cried at meet the Graham's. I'm a woman that was abandoned by a parent (mom) but the words really hit me hard. And as a survivor, the accusations make me so angry. Especially that almost no one is talking about it. That line in euphoria that says 'your playing your sister' ect about listening to Drake's music makes me not even listen. I looked up the lyrics of his replies but I don't want to give even a penny to Drake after all that. Not that I really cared much for his music before...

In my opinion, there’s another artist that needs to evaluate some sort of evolving and that involves future. As he ages his music has stayed constant and maintains some of the same subject matter in lyrics.
