In this video we are talking about the latest patch notes for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance and talking about why it has been such a huge flop. Credit to the developers for sticking with it but there really is no point because it's never going to bring in big numbers seeing as they are focusing more on balancing the game than they are fixing things, they released the game with completely braindead AI that has taken weeks to begin fixing and that puts a huge delay on post launch content. First game I've ever refunded on Steam. It was better to play it through Game Pass for $1 to find out how God-awful this was. That's saying a whole lot considering I bought Outriders and had more enjoyment with that, broken mechanics and all.

I think developers and publishers need to realize that first impression makes a huge difference in how successful a game can be. If a game came out buggy, has terrible gameplay, egregious microtransaction/live service element, or all three it will push people away from buying the product as they seeing as not worth their time or money. For example, think how star war battlefront 2 launches with one of the most greedy pay to win monetization in gaming as which causes a big uproar in the gaming community. And with that, the game sale goes down because of controversy around the game and the word of mouth. Through now Battlefront 2 has got ridden all the pay-to-win mechanics and has become a much better game but because of how the controversy has left a bad image on the game no one will give it a second chance. The same can be said about DnD Dark Alliance being broken and unplayable on launch day it will lead to being forgotten as well. Even if they fix most of the bugs, improve the A.I., and improve the gameplay it won't matter as they already lost customers of how the game was first present to them. The first impression makes a big difference especially when selling a product and I hope we don't see more of these half-fast and quick cash game that tries to rip off players who want just a good game to play.

I really hope "Aliens Fireteam Elite" will finally bring us a new, decent Co-op Game. I'm not hoping for a Masterpiece, but after Outriders and this D&D Flop I hope we will finally get something that's at least ok. Please 😭

Hey born, since you like looter shooter type games a lot. Why don't you play Ghost of Tsushima Legends? It has one of most refined combat, loot, progression, polish, level design and net code.

@@colinbright1520 I don't get why he doesn't buy a Playstation. It's cheap ($399) and not even 30fps anymore (Ps5). Also, everything that he complains about (rightfully) like broken, unpolished, mtx filled games is solved by Sony. They make polished, high budget games with zero mtx. If it's for financial reasons then I totally understand! If he couldn't get one yet due to stock then I understand. But......if isn't, then I don't understand. Why settle on these garbage money hungry indie titles and become a beta tester when you can play Goty level games that get everything right the first time?

@White Wolf I've been gaming for over 18 years and I can confidently say Ghost of Tsushima is my no. 1 favourite game of all time. The mutplayer is my no. 1 favourite mutplayer of all time. I'm not even exaggerating, try it. It's phenomenal!

Monster Hunter combat really spoils me a lot, if you guys ever play it (World/Iceborne and Rise) you will see that all this new game of hack n slash action such as DnD, Godfall, Avengers etc is sluggish and clunky lol

Feel like I'm constantly comparing games to world, rise and now monster hunter stories in regards to polish, content and post launch content. Monster hunter has become my main game series in the last ten years, never disappointed with it.

well... this game was DOA for me as soon as I noticed (forum) that I would not be able to rebind the direction keys to up/down/left/Right keys... I'm left-handed so I use my left hand for the mouse and right hand for direction. In 2021, I cannot accept a game in which Devs are to lazy to allow people to rebind such simple things.

One thing that games like this and outriders did, was making me buy a xbox series x. And for that, I thank those stupid incompetent developers and studios. The games industry is in a weird place at the moment. There's few games that actually are shipped in playable state. It's a shame, really.

😂😂😂😂😂😂 no surprise here the game had barely nothing at the start, was not exciting enemies are brain-dead... the one thing that they didn't have either is that each class should have the ability to use other weapons and have the ability to drink a potion so that the stamina gauge last a lot longer.

Was all based off looks. This game and that Robin Hood? game looked exactly like Marvel avengers in the way it played. I steered clear and I was exactly right in my assessment lol.
